| If ever there were a time when being the ' Ugly American ' was at hand ~ now is that time! World opinion of the U.S. government is at an all time low as a direct and proximate result of the lies, deceptions and failed policies of the current ' Bush regime ' Whether it 's Europeans, Asians, or South Americans, the general consensus is that while most foreigners like Americans they meet individually ~ they blatantly HATE our current government! What 's far worse is that foreigners are bewildered by the hypocrisy of our hollow claims to foster ' democracy ' upon other lands, whether occupied or otherwise, yet we as a people seem to have no real democracy in our very own homeland! The foreign concept of ' democracy ' is that whenever someone is elected to public office, and then fails or creates unpopular policies ~ the rank & file people rise up, hold public demonstrations, and have nationwide work stoppages and strikes until the unpopular officials resign or are driven from office! This has occurred in recent years in eastern Europe, in the Mid-East, in South American countries, and recently in Haiti ~ yet here in the good-ole USA, we see nothing happening on the scale of those in foreign lands ~ no here, we see a docile population full of criticism, condemnation and complaining, yet far short of any kind of direct or indirect public or coordinated action! SHAME has come upon our historical national image once the ' Bush regime ' initiated ' preemptive strikes ' and ' unilateral wars ' against Afghanistan & Iraq! Until then, America was seen as the ' good guy ' who defended Liberty & Social Justice ~ not the provocateurs of war! Any reasonable person when faced with making a decision would have to admit that the people of Afghanistan & Iraq are NOT better off now under USA occupation! At least before occupation they had employment, electricity, low cost fuel, and a functioning water and sewer system! Now they have almost total devastation, sickness, mounting death tolls with no end in sight! SHAME has been heaped upon America as horrifying reports continue to flow out of Afghanistan and Iraq over the torture, maiming & mass-killing of POW 's under U.S. Military control! Not since the horrors reported by survivors of the hated communist regimes have such stories been so sickening and barbaric! Everyone responsible for such horrific tortures should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, and executed when applicable, since the mindset of torturing another person makes a criminal out of those in charge, turns them into reprobates unfit to be acceptable to decent society! Just like pedophiles are now identified, labeled, and monitored, so too must those who have committed such war crimes and atrocities also be punished! After years of trying to criminalize, demoralize, and demonize the Freedom Fighters of the IRA opposing occupation, the Brits were finally forced to succumb to world opinion! That same SHAME is now applicable to the Israelis for their barbaric policies towards the Palestinians! And now the same SHAME is being heaped upon the USA as the horrifying photos circulate the globe demeaning everything that America used to represent! All GULAGS like Abu Ghraib & Guantanamo must be shut down, as demanded by the recent UN Report condemning all violations of International Law like the Geneva Convention! The ' Bush regime ' has repeatedly violated the principles of civilized law by authorizing TORTURES using the CIA ' KUBARK ' psychological torture methods, the KGB sensory disorientation and self-inflicted pain methods, attacks upon cultural sensitivities, and identifying the individual phobias of the helpless victims! This is the same kind of horror described by George Orwell in his book, ' 1984 ' ~ now a reality in 2006! The ' Bush regime ' has joined the Israeli military junta as the only two governments in the whole world declaring torture as an official government policy ~ yet more SHAME! Since Gen. Geoffrey Miller turned Guantanamo into a de facto behavioral/torture research lab, and did the same to Abu Ghraib, why has Gen. Miller NOT been called the ' monster ' as was Dr. Joseph Mengle, following WWII? Why have General Miller and his superiors NOT been charged with any ' war crimes ' ? Ahh ~ but to our added SHAME we saw the recent ' punishment ' of a U.S. Army Sergeant, after murdering an Iraqi general by suffocation, amount to nothing more than home confinement for sixty days! Yet we hypocritically condemn insurgents when they decapitate Blackwater mercenaries! Once willing to embark on the slippery slope of torturing other people, it is easy to see how those in the ' Bush regime ' have been given over to a reprobate mindset that now includes taking away the entitlements to wounded Veterans, Women & Orphans, and Senior Citizens heaping even more SHAME upon America! And the direct & proximate result is seen in the disclosure of wanton avarice, greed and corruption surrounding everyone associated with the current ruling regime! The most glaring aspect of this callous and desensitized mindset is the SHAME stemming from the lies and false hope given to the victims of Hurricane Katrina! If you are willing to torture others in foreign lands, then what mercy is left for those less fortunate in your homeland? While tens-of-thousands of mobile homes sit idle awaiting delivery to the homeless, those that have received them cannot use them without electricity, running water or sewage connections ~ yet are still evicted from their motel rooms! As such their conditions are no different than the people in occupied Afghanistan, Iraq and Palestine! Meanwhile rank & file Citizens suffer want while the oligarchy of the ' unitary executive ' doles out favoritism and no-bid-contracts to political cronies! As shameful as all the above, perhaps the most SHAME upon our land is the selling off or our national and natural resources to foreign governments and corporations all for the sake of financing the current illegal wars! Not only has almost 9000 companies been transferred overseas, but now the ' Bush regime ' wants to sell the six major seaports on the east coast to Dubai, in order to pay down its debt to this oil cartel! How much more are we as a people willing to take as America is gutted & skinned by these so-called ' NEO-CON ' warmongers and profiteers? There is only one final solution ~ America needs a ' REGIME CHANGE ' as soon as possible! And there is only one viable solution, it ' s the ' 10 POINTS of REFORM for AMERICA ' that will bring immediate answers to restore and REFORM AMERICA!
