| While the "Bush regime" in the White House has pretended to promote ' Democracy ' and respect for other nations, the policies implemented in the Middle East and South America opposing democratically elected governments stands in direct contradiction to the rhetoric and propaganda ! The most recent case in point is the fact that the ' Bush regime ' has failed to condemn the Genocide taking place in Palestine, the West Bank and Gaza at the hands of the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) even when the IOF openly admits to what it called a mistake in coordinating the shelling of a suspected target that killed sixteen members of one family ~ mostly women & children ! There was no reason for John Bolton, acting USA ambassador to the UN, to veto a UN Security Council resolution condemning Israel ' s recent attack on the Gaza town of Beit Hanoun that killed at least 19 Palestinian civilians and left dozens of others wounded. The UN resolution simply called on the Israelis to abide by its obligations and responsibilities under the Geneva Convention. But the IOF claims it is not bound by the Fourth Geneva Convention when it comes to its occupation of Palestine, the West Bank and Gaza! Thus the IOF which likes to brag about being the ' fourth most powerful military in the world ' continues to attack and kill - at - will defenseless women and children with war materiel supplied by the USA ! This makes the USA just as culpable as if driving the getaway car ! As pointedly articulated by Palestinian Deputy Minister for Women ' s Affairs, Salwa Hudeib: " In the end there are basic rights under international law to protect women and generally and to protect people under occupation. But with the Palestinian - Israeli conflict the world remains silent to please Israel, which is unjust and not balanced. We have called in our speech on the international community, the United Nations, the Quartet and everyone who affects decision - making in the Middle East to protect Palestinians, and Palestinian women and children." As a direct and proximate result of these unnecessary one - sided hypocritical positions being taken by the ' Bush regime ', in which the Israelis are never blamed for anything, no matter how egregious; the Arab League has announced it would lift the financial blockade on the Palestinians in defiance of the U.S. and resume its funding of the Palestinian government now lead by HAMAS, the resistance group democratically elected by the Palestinian people this past January. Since the inception of the UN, the USA has invoked approximately 70 vetoes of which over half have been in favor of the Israelis by which the USA has been nothing more than a shield trying to protect the bloody-hands of the IOF from criticism ! But it is this very lopsided policy that has invoked the wrath of criticism against the USA, and condemned the ' Bush regime ' as HYPOCRITS in the eyes of the whole world at this time! The insolence by which the IOF operates in its vicious occupation of Palestine can be seen in a recent statement on The Today Show made by acting Israeli Prime Minister, Ehud Olmert, and his saber - rattling and warmongering against Iran, as follows: " I don't want to measure it in days or weeks, but it ' s quite close and we have to join forces in order to stop it because this is a serious danger to many countries, amongst them Israel, and this is a moral obligation that we all have, and I think that we all understand. It will not happen. It can't happen. We will not tolerate the possession of nuclear weapons by Iran, and I think America, and I even believe that Russia will not tolerate it." Prominent personalities like Seymore Hersh, New Yorker Magazine; former UN weapons inspector, Scott Ritter in his new book, Target Iran; and Daniel Ellsberg, Pentagon whistleblower, and others, have all been warning of the war planes of the ' Bush regime ' and the Israeli Military Junta to attack Iran to prevent Iran from placing a civilian nuclear reactor on line to supply its energy needs! The European Union, the Russians, the Chinese, and the UN International Atomic Energy Commission all agree that the Iranian nuclear reactor is for civilian usage ~ not for making bombs! Meanwhile NOTHING is ever mentioned about the nuclear reactor of the Israelis or their present stockpile of WMD ' s that include atomic, nuclear, thermonuclear, biological and chemical in violation of International Law! Yet these hypocrites keep Mordechai Vanunu imprisoned for exposing their dirty secrets, corruptions, and WMD ' s ! Thus while the Israelis are always the supplicant of the USA begging for more foreign aid in cash and war materiel, they now openly become the ' tail that wags the dogs of war ' in their brazen threats of instigating war against Iran! The gist of what Olmert said recently before the American Jewish Congress was that: " If the USA won ' t bomb Iran, then we will! "The insanity of wanting to start yet another war in the Middle East is beyond comprehension and must be stopped now! As Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich, a member of the " Out of Iraq Congressional Working Group " and set to become the Chair of the Government Reform Subcommittee on National Security, Emerging Threats and International Relations, recently said in an interview, "...the best way to end the war in Iraq, and the turmoil in the Middle East, is CUT OFF THE FUNDING! " By cutting off the funding, Congress was able to end the Viet Nam War and finally bring the troops home ~ and the same can be done to end the conflicts in Iraq, Afghanistan and Palestine! Does it make any sense whatsoever that the ' Bush regime ' can give the Israelis the billions spent so far to build a sixty - foot high wall to keep Palestinians out of the Israeli occupied territory, but not provide the funding necessary to build a seventeen-foot high flood - wall to protect the Citizens of New Orleans? Does it make sense for the ' Bush regime ' to continue to supply the IOF with war materiel to kill women and children in their systematic Genocide in Palestine, the West Bank, Gaza and Lebanon? The New Reform Party USA, reorganized under a Charter & Bylaws, says that the REAL PATH TO PEACE is to CUT OFF THE FUNDS FOR WAR! As Americans we have an obligation to support the principles set forth in the Magna Charta, the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution of these United States, and Fourth Geneva Convention ~ therefore American foreign policy must change and to do that, let ' s cut off the funds to those that make war in our name!
