| In the wake of the " Bush regime ' s " dirty hands in the recent murder of Saddam Hussein on New Years Eve, there is now a two-front guerrilla war being waged against the Occupation Forces in Iraq, comprised mostly of U.S. Troops and a shrinking handful of Brits!In addition to scores of independent guerrilla groups comprised of local militia and insurgents, including the well organized and well financed Shiite guerrilla groups, there now exists an equally organized and well financed Sunni guerrilla army that heretofore was a low profile insurgency. But since Saddam was a Sunni, his tribe and religious allies have taken up arms against the USA occupation. While the Shiites are allied to Iran, Hizbu`llah, and Hamas, the Sunnis are allied to Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, among others ~ thus the USA is now faced with opposition financed from the richest kingdoms on the face of this earth! If that is not bad enough, the Muslim world extending into Central Asia and Russia also finds religious and economic alliances with both Shiites & Sunnis ~ not to forget the Chinese economic ties as well! Thus worse than at any time in past USA history, the ' Bush regime ' has painted itself into a corner with no apparent way out except massive humiliation ~ or worse ~ a nuclear holocaust! And that ' nuclear holocaust ' may be triggered by none other than the Zionist Israelis as the ruling military junta under radical Ehud Olmert who has announced plans to attack Iran with ' tactical nuclear weapons ' should the ' Bush regime ' fail to act before March, 2007 when the Iranian civilian nuclear power plant is scheduled to go on line under supervision of the Russians! The mad-dog Israelis are determined to be the only nuclear power in the middle-east, howbeit never signing on to the international non-proliferation treaty! Meanwhile the Israelis have been practicing their attack maneuvers against Iran by flying to Gibraltar and back in simulated war games! And the ' Bush regime ' has been assenting by moving two naval attack carrier battle groups into position off the coast of Iran in the Persian Gulf! The Zionist NEOCONS and multinational warmongers and profiteers are determined to bring the world to the brink of World War III, or worse! In the face of a stunning political defeat in the midterm elections, and with polls showing an all time low of between 20-23%, the corporate ' Village Idiot ' occupying the White House just announced plans to escalate the illegal Iraqi War and Occupation by sending an additional 20,000 troops into Harm ' s Way ~ the same blundering and stupid failed policies that plagued both the ' Johnson & Nixon regimes ' a generation ago in Viet Nam! Upwards to 80% of Americans want Our Troops Home Now! Among the U.S. Military, over 75% want Our Troops Home Now! And over 75% of Iraqi Citizens want Our Troops Home Now! So what motivates the madmen in the ' Bush regime ' to escalate into an insurgent guerrilla war that America cannot win? The answer lies in that the ' Bush regime ' wants the puppet-government it installed under the guns of the illegal Occupation to sign over control of Iraqi Oil Reserves to Exxon - Mobil, Shell and British Petroleum for the next thirty years! Thus the ' Bush regime ' has LIED us into this illegal war! Has needlessly killed thousands of American military youth, permanently maimed tens-of-thousands of others for life! Has killed over three - quarters - of - a-million Iraqis according to the Lancet ' s study! Has seen one-in-eight Iraqis become international war refugees! Has totally destroyed the infrastructure of the most progressive nation in the middle-east! Has illegally invaded, occupied, established a puppet-regime, and murdered the duly elected Iraqi leaders, all in violation of existing International Law and the Fourth Geneva Convention! And for what? Just to steal the Iraqi Oil! For a fraction of the cost of this war ~ why could not American foreign policy have just been FAIR and purchased the oil desired? The mood is turning very ugly in Iraq as every Occupation Solider is nothing more than a ' sitting duck ' waiting to be killed or wounded ~ no different than the Brits during America ' s War for Independence! So far, over 1000 active Iraqi Veterans Against the War have signed onto the following Appeal for Redress set to be delivered to Congress on 15 January 2007. It reads as follows: " As a patriotic American proud to serve the nation in uniform, I respectfully urge my political leaders in Congress to support the prompt withdrawal of all American military forces and bases from Iraq. Staying in Iraq will not work and is not worth the price. It is time for U.S. troops to come home. " . The Appeal for Redress is sponsored by active duty service members based in the Norfolk area and by a sponsoring committee of veterans and military family members. Congress shall consider the consequences of any act of war, specifically if such act is preemptive, which would be an egregious violation of a sovereign nation ' s rights. Congress must consider the destabilization of the region and must consider the unintended consequences of any and all retaliation.
