STEAM ROLLER ACCIDENT STUNS MOVEMENT.

On Sunday 29th of May a serious accident occured with a Steam Roller at the Hockley Heath Society in Warwickshire. Debbie Marrsh (41) recieved very serious injuries to her leg when she was crushed under the back roll of Aveling & Barford Roller AC 604 named, 'Paricia'.

At the time of writting it was understood that Mrs Marsh has had her leg amputated as a result of the accident. In a steatement her husband, David and owner of the engine said that he was numb, shocked and devestated by the events, but his wife was in the best possible hands.

Circumstances that led to the accident are at this time unclear although a mechanical fault was said to be one of the contributing factors and was being investigated by Mrs Marsh at the time of the incident. However out of respect for all the parties involved we at Road Steam do not wish to speculate on the incident until a full investigation and its subsiquent results are made official. We would however like to pass our best wishes onto all those involved in the incident.
