This is a tribute to my precious daughter, ASHLIE STARR GERTH. She entered this world on August 21, 1978 and left us on June 16, 1998 at the age of 19. She is my second born child and has an older sister Amber Paige, 23 and a younger sister Autum Dawn, 16; a brother Dustin Shane, 11 and her youngest sister Alanna Lynn, 9. We all miss her so much and the hole that she left in our hearts will never mend. My Dad also left this life on May 23, 1999 and now is in Heaven with my baby. She wrote a poem which she titled "Angels" in May of 1998. I didn't know it until the day of her service, June 19 and it was first read there. It had been my prayer for Angels to be with my baby and this was His answer to me that He heard my cry and sent them. I look forward to our reunion in Heaven with them. I love you Ashlie. There are so many things to say about her life. Ashlie spent the last day of her life at Amber's house with her sisters and Jasmine who was 6 months old. Ashlie never seemed to stay in one place very long but she was there the whole day and caring for Jasmine while the other girls went to the dentist. She commented that Jasmine liked to look outside (especially the sky!) My life ended that day. I miss you my sweet Ashlie Starr. I love you my lovely daughter and friend. Mom |

"Angels" |
|
|
|
When angels sense you need them And angels always do.
They come unseen, from everywhere To help and comfort you.
They hover close beside you Till all your cares are gone.
Till they can see you're ready once Again to carry on.
Then some of them may fly away And take their gentle touch.
To other hearts that need the Love Of angels very much.
But one at least stays with you As your constant friend and guide.
For guardian angels never leave They're always at your side.
