| This is the oldest Cockatiel, and his name is Amber. He will be 6 years old on May 22, 2006. When we first got him, we thought "he" was a "her". When we found out , we did not change his name, for confusion sake...ours. |

| The above picture is Amber when he was about 3 or 4 weeks old. He has papaya on his beak and his neck feathers were all wet with baby bird food. I have to admit, he was not very pretty at the time! |

| Amber is a Pearl Pied Cockatiel, hatched May 22, 2000. He came by the name Amber because his mother's name is Diamond and I was trying to keep the name in the same catagory. He says a few words (just like his mother and father). His favorite word, of course, is "Hello!" and "Goodmorning!" He says a few other words and he sings his own tune. Now he is learning to blow "rasberries" but it sounds more like a growl. It is really cute! |
