Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men. Luke 2:14
Every star shall sing a carol,
Every creature high or low.
Come and praise the King of Heaven
By whatever name you know.
God above man below
Holy is the name I know
When the King of all creation,
Had a cradle on the earth.
Holy was the human body,
Holy was the human birth.
Who can tell what other cradle?
High above the Milky Way;
Still may rock the the King of Heaven,
On another Christmas day.
Who can count how many crosses?
Still to come or long ago.
Crucify the King of Heaven,
Holy is the name I know.
Who can tell what other body?
He will hallow for His own.
I will praise the son of Mary,
Brother of my blood and bone.
Every star and every planet,
Every creature high and low.
Come and praise the King of Heaven,
By whatever name you know.
God Sent Us a King
The star was His sign.
God's people had looked
for the Messiah to come
for hundreds of years.
They waited, hoped and prayed...
He was to be their King.
But that night as the star shone,
only a few noticed...
the world was looking for a man
of royalty, wealth and power.
No one recognized the King of Kings
except for some sheperds,
the Angels and a few Wise Men.
This Christmas may we too worship Him as the King of Kings!
Bethlehem
by William Canton
When the herd were watching
In the midnight chill,
Came a spotless lambkin
From the Heavenly hill.
Snow was on the mountains,
And the wind was cold,
When from God's own garden
Dropped a rose of gold.
When 'twas bitter winter,
Houseless and forlorn,
In a star-lit stable
Christ the Babe was born.
Welcome, Heavenly Lambkin;
Welcome, Golden Rose;
Alleluia, Baby,
In the swaddling clothes.
The Little Fir Tree
by Margaret Rose
At Christmas time so long ago,
The winds were blowing high and low;
A little green fir tree grew by the Inn,
A little fir tree staight and slim.
"Noel, Noel!" the Angels sang,
"Noel, Noel! Goodwill to man,"
A little green fir tree grew by the Inn,
A little green fir tree straight and slim.
And, looking up, across the night
The fir tree saw the Star so bright.
The littlefir tree wondered why
The star was moving in the sky.
"Noel, Noel!" the Angels sang,
"Noel, Noel! Good will to man,"
A little green fir tree grew by the Inn,
A little green fir tree straight and slim.
The star shone over Bethlehem
Over the stable inn, and then
The little green fir tree shone with light,
Lit by the star that wintry night.
"Noel, Noel!" the Angels sang,
"Noel, Noel! Goodwill to man,"
A little green fir tree grew by the Inn,
A little green fir tree straight and slim.
The fir tree shone so long ago,
And still in winter's frost and snow,
The little green fir tree comes each year
To bring us joy and Christmas cheer.
"Noel, Noel!" the Angels sang,
"Noel, Noel! Goodwill to man,"
A little green fir tree grew by the Inn,
A little green fir tree straight and slim.
"Just as the Angels, all gleaming with light,
Brought joy to the world on that first Christmas night,
There are Angels among us who bring joy to us still
By sharing their thoughtfulness, peace, and goodwill."
May your holidays be happy days,
Happy Holidays from our house to yours!
a time of love and cheer,
A special blend of warmth and joy
with friends and family near...
And may the New Year bring your way
the best of all that's good,
A year that brings you happiness...
exactly as it should.
