A Friend is a Treasure

When God gives us a friend
He gives us the best
And we know right away
How truly we're blessed.

For a God-given friend
Is steadfast and true,
So thoughtful and kind
And so caring, too.

And when we're in need
That friend is right there
With a hand out to help
Always willing to share.

Whatever life holds
Or tomorrow may send,
We've a treasure to keep
When God gives us a friend.
