"Cead mile failte"
(A hundred thousand welcomes)

Welcome to my St. Pactrick's Day Page
Since I'm part Irish (my maternal Grandmother) I feel compelled
to do this page in honor of my Grandmother and my Great-Grandparents
who migrated from Ireland.
Growing up in an English/Irish household was great! I learned
from both cultures. The cuisine from both was very tasty and good for you.
My maternal Grandfather was from England. Who said the English
and the Irish don't get along??? They were married 37 years before
my Grandpa passed away. They endured many hardships but survived
them all.

Irish Recipes

Dance as if no one were watching,
Sing as if no one were listening
And live everyday as if it were your last.

May you live as long as you want;
And never want as long as you live.
If you are enough lucky to be Irish...
You're lucky enough!!

May you have:
A world of wishes at your command
God and His Angels close at hand
Friends and Family their love impart,
And Irish blessings in your heart.

Did you hear about the Irishman who was tap dancing?
He broke his ankle when he fell in the sink!

This brings a wish your way-
Good health, good luck, and happiness
For today and every day.

Paddy was tooling along the road one fine day when the
local policeman , a friend of his, pulled him over.
"What's wrong Seamus?" Paddy asked. "Well didn't ya know,
Paddy, that your wife fell out of the car about 5 miles
back?" said Seamus. "Ah, praise the Almighty!" Paddy replied
with relief. "I thought I'd gone deaf!"

Go mbeannai Dia duit
(May God Bless You)

Mrs O'Donovan was walking down O'Connell street in Dublin,
and comming in the opposite direction was Father Rafferty.
"Hello," said the Father, "and how is Mrs. O'Donovan?
Didn't I marry you two years ago?"
She replied, "That you did Father."
The priest asked, "And are there any little ones yet?"
"No, not yet Father." she said.
"Well, now, I'm going to Rome next week,
and I'll light a candle for you."
"Thank you Father." And away she went.
They meet again a few year later. "Well, now
Mrs. O'Donovan, how are you?" asked the Father.
"Oh, very well," she said
"And tell me, any little ones yet?"
"Oh yes, Father. Three sets of twins and four singles - ten in all>"
"Now isn't that wonderful," he said "And how is your lovely husband?"
"Oh," she said, "he has gone to Rome to blow out that dang candle!"

May God grant you many years to live,
For sure He must be knowing
The earth has Angels all to few
and heaven is overflowing.

I hope you have enjoyed my St. Patrick's Day Page.

These things I warmly wish to you--
Someone to love
Some work to do
A bit o' sun
A bit o' cheer
And a Guardian Angel always near.

May your day be as bright as the mornin' light
that shines on the Emerald Isle.
May your heart have that feelin'
of jiggin' and reelin' and of course,
may your twinkling eyes smile.

May the holiday weather, be as lovely as heather
on Ireland's hills and her moors.
May you be among friends
'til St. Patrick's Day ends...
May the luck of the Irish be yours!
