RT 8 EUROMEETING'98 Program
THURSDAY, 2 JULY20.00 Homeparties wil be arranged with groups of 15 people. For guests staying at the Hotel Sofitel, please make sure you are ready and waiting at the reception at 19.30. Transport will be provided. Sponsored by Coca Cola and Paulaner Brewery FRIDAY, 3 JULY08.30 We meet at the Hotel Sofitel, all hosts bringing their guests. 09.00 We leave Hotel Sofitel by bus. 09.30 We arrive at the airport. We'll be visiting the airport with a special insider look- around Lufthansa's security training and a tour around the airbase. 12.30 Special lunch at the airbase. 13.30 We are leaving the airport, heading for downtown Frankfurt. 14.30 The Train is waiting: We have a ride on one of Frankfurt's old steam trains (Historical train). 16.30 Back at the Eiserner Steg. We walk with a view on the Frankfurt skylne back to the hotel and relax to prepare for the sportive part of the program. 19.30 Ladies, gentleman and tablers - it's Show time ! We gather at the Cafe for the international shows. Late at night: The hosts take home their guests, the others will be carried back to the hotel. SATURDAY, 4 JULY11.00-16.30 "Cafe im Musemspark" (Scaummainkai 15) This cafe will serve as the central meeting point for the day. You can refresh yourself and have lunch. From here we suggest to start the following activities: 12.00-14.00 - join a guided city tour - "Johann Wolfgang Goethe - Truth and Poettry" - "Historic Old Town - Melting Pot throughhout the Centuries" - visit one of the fabulous museums nearbyy (ask a local Tabler for guidance which museum best suits your interests) - visit the "Flee market" right next to thhe cafe - go shopping downtown Frankfurt (we have included a list of interesting shops in this program) or visit the "Ringeltaube" - go for a walk at the quay of the Main annd have a look at the Frankfurt skyline - take a boat on the Main river (ask a loccal Tabler to help you find the right boat-trip matching your interests) 15.00Business meeting of the cairmen or their representatives at the Hotel Sofitel. 16.30-19.00 Take a rest and get ready for the Gala 19.00 Formal Gala at the "Wohltatigkeist-Anstalt zur Einigkeit" (Kaiserstr 37). SUNDAY, 5 JULY11.00-13.00 The farewell brunch will take place at the Hotel Sofitel. |
