"I'm really EXCITED about something special so I wanted to share it with you.

My friend, Diamond Director Cathy Hudson, and I had been making plans to go to Tampa for the 1st Annual DHS Convention being held in Florida. I'd been doing a lot of research on the Internet trying to find the best prices.

The first thing I did on the Internet was to visit the Tradewinds properties website to see how much their hotel rates were since that was the location of the DHSC Annual convention. Later I searched through several internet sites in an attempt to find the best deal because Cathy and I didn't want to have to commute to the resort for each function.

When it was time to find the lowest airfare I could find from Phoenix, Arizona to Tampa Florida, I found that the normal rate for this travel was $477, an expense I was unwilling to pay to travel from here to there!

After researching the internet for some time and not finding anything that met the amount I was willing to pay I went to our ClubShop Mall to see what was available. I researched Travelscape, and knew I could do better with our Priceline link so I went there and got my airline tickets for $220 -- a savings of $257!

Since my plans were to stay in Tampa a couple extra days, I also needed to find accommodations for those extra nights. I didn't want to spend the money for The Tradewinds resort without a roommate, because as a full-time college student, I needed to save a little more money for tuition in the fall.

My next step was to check out all the values on the internet. After spending several hours searching, I returned to our Travelscape link at our ClubShop Mall. There, I found two great deals that just totally put the other internet prices to shame!

1 night at the Doubletree near the Tampa airport for only $75! The normal rate there was $129 a night! That's a savings of $54! On top of that, I get a 5% rebate from DHS for using our mall as a VIP. That means I am saving another $3.25, which brings my savings (including my $257 savings on airfare) up to $314.25! Free members are entitled to a 2 1/2% rebate.

My last night, I stayed at the Holiday Inn at Treasure Island for $75 a night! The going rate there is for $120 a night. That's a savings of $45!! Add my $3.25 rebate from DHS, and my savings climb to... $361.80!

To recap my savings: $257.00 Airfare savings using our Priceline link $ 57.25 Hotel savings using Travelscape $ 47.25 Hotel savings using Travelscape $361.80* TOTAL SAVED

I really don't know why anyone would want to pay full price for anything when we don't have to as DHS Club members. We all have a wonderful savings opportunity as DHS VIPs and free members.

As DHS VIP, my benefits are even greater because I also have the opportunity to share the good news with others, while earning an income!

I just made reservations in New Orleans and the room was about $170 per night in the "Orleans Bourbon" a hotel built in 1817 right in the middle of the "French Quarter". I was able to get an "AAA" discount down to $159, but when I indicated that I was an employee of a travel agency they offered me the Travel Agent" rate of $120. per night. I then told them that I am a member of the DHS Club and have a hotel discount card which gave me a rate even less than the "Travel Agent" rate..... $92 per night! Do we have savings on hotel rooms? You bet we do! Be sure and take advantage of the savings. They make your membership a real value!

It was time for me to purchase new eyeglasses. My insurance pays for the exam and only $50.00 towards eyeglasses. Even at that, the cost of buying new eyeglasses is expensive. It was then I remembered that vision is part of our DHS Club Benefits Package. I called the 1-800 number on the back of my benefits card and was given an ID number for the vision program. Much to my surprise, they gave me my vision ID number right over the phone!br I went to my local Pearl Vision Center where I was examined and chose my frames and lenses. I chose progressive lenses. I have an allergy to nickel, so I chose the more expensive, nickel-free frames. The total cost for exam, nickel-free frames, and progressive lenses was $378. When I presented my DHS Vision Benefit ID number, the price was reduced by 50% to $189!

Consider this: The $189 savings paid for my initial membership fee of $49.95 and $139.05 in monthly fees. That's almost 6 months in fees! Now how's that for a deal? I am going away to the interior of British Columbia in two weeks, and booked my hotel using my DHSC Hotel Directory. I saved 50% off the two night stay, which amounted to $104.00! I'm looking for even more savings for Canadians! Thanks a lot, I am really glad I joined!" Mary Fields ID# MF145502 =============================================================================
