334th Tactical Fighter Squadron

Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, Goldsboro, North Carolina, 1967-1970


The 334th TFS attached to 4th Tactical Fighter Wing on 8 December 1957. Squadron equipped with F-4D (previously flown F-105D Thunderchief) at Seymour Johnson AFB, North Carolina in 1967. 334th TFS deployed to Kunsan AB, South Korea, following the USS Pueblo crisis between January and July 1968. Returned to Seymour Johnson AFB. Squadron attached to 354th Tactical Fighter Wing at Kunsan AB, South Korea between 16 December 1969 and 31 May 1970. The squadron returned to CONUS base and started to re-equip with the F-4E during 1970.
