Ian Stephenson -
Is a guitarist from Selby in North Yorkshire. He won the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award 2000 with his other band 422. Shortly after Ian was offered the opportunity to tour the Far East with Brian Finnegan. He still plays with Brian and 422 and has also toured with Bill Sables in the USA. As well as performances with The Liz Docherty band, Jerry Holland and a forthcoming concert with Liz Carroll!! Ian is also appearing on the new solo album by Canadian fiddler and trumpet player Daniel Lapp.His playing is tight, rhythmic and jazzy, main influences being Chris Newman and Ian Carr. |
