Solving 1st Layer Corners |
After solving the cross, it is time to complete the 1st layer. We do this by placing the corners to their respective places. Like the cross, this step is intuitive, but I will run you through some examples. |
*Note the White/Red/Blue corner. It is in the spot relative to it's centers. White touching white, blue touching blue, and red touching red. |
EXAMPLE SITUATIONS |
The corner is ready to be inserted. Notice that a (R) turn would place it correctly. However, you can't stop after (R), because you've taken apart somethnig you've already completed. You can place this corner using any of the following sequences: a) RF'R'F b) FDF' c) D'R'DR |
This situation is the same idea, except mirrored to the other side. Any of the following sequences can be used: a) L'FLF' b) F'D'F c) DLD'L' |
This step can be a little annoying. Just make this move: R'D2R This puts the corner in a situation similiar to the first two I introduced. Then just place the corner. |
R'DR That's all you need. Then just place the corner. |
