"The Minimum"
This is the last layer algorithms I give to beginners.  It should work for you too!  Just follow my explanation.  If you don't know the notation..>>>click here<<<
After completing the first two layers you will turn your cube upside-down.  (You're first two layers will be on the bottom, as shown in the picture below.)
Your first step will be to flip up all the edges.  There are three different situations that will come up.(all the situations are shown below).
**The edges with the red lines are being flipped up by it's corresponding algorithm**
^ ^ GOAL ^ ^
UF & UB edge need to be flipped
#1 F' L' U' L U F
UF & UR edge need to be flipped
#2
F U R U' R' F'
All edges need to be flipped
#3
You should be able to take care of this situation by using algorithms from situations #1 & #2
Your second step is to flip up all corners.  By repeating the given algorithm you should be able to flip all the corners up.  Using only one algorithm to flip up corners can be kind of tricky, therefore it's going to take some getting used to.  When you've flipped up your corners, your whole last layer will be oriented correctly.  Next goes to moving everything around to their correct positions. (permutation)

R' U L U' R U L' U'
Your third step is to put all of your corners in the correct position.  Look at the picture on the right; The corners are correct because they match their corresponding centers (blue matches blue, red matches red, yellow matches yellow)  Once you've matched up your corners, your edges will still be misplaced.  Follow the alg below:
^ ^ GOAL ^ ^
F' L F' R2 F L' F' R2 F2
Stay with me now, as we are getting very close.  Right now they only thing seperating you from having a solved cube should be misplaced edges.  You will use the 3-edge cycle (below) to remedy this.  You will just use the algorithm below to do this. (you will probably have to repeat this algorithm)  When all is said and done, you should have a solved cube. :)
