RUBYDOUX, AMONGST THE PILE
FIRST HOURS...
Most of the animals sharing my two acres are rescued animals, some with
special needs. When my friends announced the birth of twelve puppies born to
their female Lab and male Weimaraner, I asked them to keep a female for me.
A puppy. What
was I thinking? She is the first dog I have ever had who
actually fetches. The problem is she fetches entire tree limbs, empty clorox
bottles, worm riddled pears....if it can't move quickly enough, she fetches.
And stores it on the front porch. She is Rubydoux, a Cajun queen.
The baby pictures were taken by a talented artist, Clarke Galusha.
I'm told this is Ruby, approximately 2 months old. However, since her mouth is closed and she is completely still, I wonder....Hmmmm.
