Our Pregnancy Journal

Early Sunday morning, October 21, 2001 A big day is coming.... we saw our first faint positive on a home pregnancy test!  Wow!!  It still has not sunk in yet.  We are happy and just waiting to have it confirmed by a doctor sometime this week. . . . we have planned for this new life - we want this new life - but we know that our lives will never be the same again.  Thank you God!

January 11, 2002 The baby is growing and becoming... I can feel movement - and though it's not consistent, I feel at peace with everything.  (Now that I've felt movement, I have to keep calm when I don't feel it!)     I'm getting excited about the process of giving birth.  I want to go home during calving season to help birth some calves.  I feel like it will help me to focus on what my body will be required to do.  I know that it sounds funny - but if the cows can do it - so can I!! We had our first appointment today with our new doctor.  She is wonderful!!

October 10, 2001 Our baby was concieved! October 17, 2001 Sheri begins to think that she is pregnant. October 20, 2001 We see our first, faint postive hpt (home pregnancy test).

October 23, 2001 We told all of the 'Grandpa's' and 'Grandma's' about our coming baby today! October 29, 2001 We went to see a doctor at the medi-center about my cramping.  She is ordering an ultrasound to make sure that everything is o.k.

November 15, 2001 We had our ultrasound today (seven weeks).  We were so encouraged to see the little heart beating strongly.  It was amazing to see how little the baby is inside the amniotic sac.  We were relieved to find out that everything looked fine.  I have a cyst on one of my ovaries - but was told that it should go away on its own.

December 5, 2001 (Kevin's birthday!) Sheri begins to feel the baby moving this week. December 24, 2001 - January 3, 2002 (Sheri's birthday is on December 31) We drove down to California with Mom and Randy to see Sheri's brother Tim and his wife Katie.  We had a lot of fun going to Disneyland, Universal Studios, San Diego, Tiajuana (Mexico), Lodi, and San Francisco.  It was a whirl-wind trip!  We had a lot of fun and are sure glad that we could do this BEFORE the baby comes!
