(Our 2nd Anniversary)
Waterton Lakes International Park

After having spent the last year in Manitoba (read: no mountains - just prairie), we were extremely excited to be back in Alberta for our summer vacation.  We chose to spend our second anniversary in Waterton, where we had our wedding pictures taken; and  where we spent part of a day on our honeymoon.

It was a beautiful day, other than the smoke from three large forest fires surrounding the area casting a grey/white haze everywhere.  (you can see this in our pictures).
Cameron Lake: The river behind us leaves the lake and rushes down the mountain to the well-known Cameron Falls.
Caleb points to something.... and you can easily see the haze that obscured the otherwise fantastic view of the mountains.  We considered renting a boat but decided that Caleb was too little ... another year perhaps.

What a beautiful day to be at the Lake!  The water was still pretty cold even with the +30 C temperatures.
