Amy Bone
Amy Bone is Charlie's mother. She has been living with her mother and her mother-in-law since her husband Lyell Bone died in a car accident.... or so she and everyone was told. Her son, Charlie, has been given the idea that her dear husband may still be around, only hypnotized by Manfred Bloor when Manfred was only nine. She is unendowed, but is descended from Mathonwy the Welsh magician. She works for the local grocer, but doesn't make enough to pull Charlie away from the Bloors or his father's family, the Yewbeams. However, Charlie has made due with the lot given to him in life and she's proud of him and hopes he really does find his father and bring him back to them.

Julia Ingledew
Julia Ingledew is the aunt of Emma Tolly and owner of Ingledew Books, a bookstore near the center of town. When Charlie awakened her neice, Emma went to live with Miss Ingledew above the bookstore. Now, Charlie and his uncle frequent the store. She is unendowed, but has a particular relationship to Paton Yewbeam, namely VERY romantic to the point of being squishy. She is a major book worm and her store holds every kind of book one could think of. She has had to pay the price for being involved with Paton and Charlie more than once. She was nearly killed by Dorcas Loom and Venetia Yewbeam's little belt that had been made for Olivia Vertigo to wear in a play, except they expected Julia Ingledew to try the belt on and see how it looked. (she has a tiny waist.)

Paton Yewbeam
Paton Yewbeam is the youngest of the Yewbeam children. When he was younger, his mother died and his four sisters went off to live with their grant aunt Yolanda Yewbeam and her father Yorath Yewbeam. The dastardly duo tried to get their claws on Paton, but his father said NAY and he stayed with his father and his grandmother until she died. Now, he lives with his older sister Grizelda Bone, Charlie's grandmother, and his nephew and his mother and other grandmother. His sisters don't think much of him, because he doesn't follow their rules or their orders. In fact, he pretty much kept to himself mostly until Charlie started asking for his help in some of the problems he was facing from starting in Bloors Academy. Since joining Charlie in the fight against the Bloors and the Yewbeams, Paton has had the magic sucked out of him and many other problems, most of which include injury to him. However, his horrible sisters realized that he was in love with Julia Ingledew and started to target her to get at him, so now most of the problems he's had to face were because they hurt Miss Ingledew. Paton's endowment is power boosting. He makes lights shatter and flicker, makes anything with electricity flowing through explode if he isn't careful, so he wears sunglasses to keep himself from looking directly at a light and making it explode. However, when his sisters targeted Miss Ingledew, Paton made certain Yolonda died from electrocution and made Venetia's house burn down in the aftermath. He has made the glass windows shatter in all of Bloors Academy before, as well.

Mr. and Mrs. MacGregor
Mr. and Mrs. MacGregor moved into Number Thirteen on Filbert Street one day when Mr. MacGregor took the newly opened Art Teacher job at Bloors Academy. The whole MacGregor family moved from Scotland to the town, setting their daughter, Morgan MacGregor, up at the school for the gifted, Bloors Academy. Both Mr. and Mrs. MacGregor are endowed, however, Mr. MacGregor and Morgan MacGregor share the same talent. Mr. MacGregor's endowment is that of telekinesis of a special sort; namely, he sends a part of his body out to grab or touch by thinking about his hand or body part doing that. He can feel the object in his hands and feel it as though it was really in his hands, meanwhile, the object is moving around because he's projected his hands onto it. Mrs. MacGregor's endowment is that of healing. She uses her energy to heal wounds. PArt of the reason for moving away from their Scottish home was because everyone in the town found out she could heal with just her hands alone and swarmed the house. Mr. MacGregor has become a nuisance to the Bloors at Bloors Academy because he defies them at every turn. However, because he was let into Bloors, he has been privy to some of their secrets and has told Dr. Bloor that if ever tries to fire him, he would let the world know what Bloors Academy has been doing to people's lives. (Mr. MacGregor is a bit of a snoop.) Because of his endowment, and Dr. Bloor's lack of one, Dr. Bloor is terrified of angering Mr. MacGregor any more than he can get away with. Only on one occasion has Mr. MacGregor shown himself to be capable of killing instead of his usual jovial attitude.

Count Harken Badlock
Count Harken Badlock was there in the beginning. He tried to steal away the daughter of a knight from Toledo only to be outmatched by the Red King himself. Then, he came along and mucked up five of the children when Queen Bernice died and the Red King left to mourn. Then, he forced a painter to paint him as the King's shadow in the portrait of the Red King that hangs on the wall of the King's Room.
