About: Munkustrap is the Second-in-Command of the tribe. He is always there to protect the kittens, and everyone else. He fights Macavity, and takes a part in rescuing Demter, who is his obvious choice mate, in most productions.

Productions: In the US productions, it seems as though something is going on between Munkustrap and Bombalurina.
In Finnish productions, Gilbert sings many of Munkustrap's narrative lines.

Doubles: Pirate in Growltigers Last Stand

Songs/Solos: Gumbie Cat, Old Deutoronomy, narrative lines, Aweful Battle of the Pekes and the Pollicles, Growltiger's Last Stand

Costumes: Munkustrap is usually a black tabby with white strips, and the same for his face. His makeup would usually take up to 30 minutes longer than the rest because of the blending. In early London productions, he was somewhat of a brown color.

Actor must be: Extremly vocally talented, though Munkustrap doesn't dance a lot.
