The MYTH of Running will cause arthritis in your knees.
Since the beginning of time people have been runners.
They either ran to dinner or ran from becoming dinner.
The myth that running will cause arthritis in your knees was started by people looking for an excuse not to exercise. Everyone knows who they are. The one's who really need the exercise but always come up with another excuse (or myth) not to.
Well, it's time to dispell the myth.
In a recent study of over 4,000 people, it was found that a life time of running did not break down the cartilage in the knees.
The study DID find however, that there was a strong association with injuries and arthritis. Problems occur when runners do not give themselves enough time to recover from an injury OR disregard the pain and continue to "run throught it".
The bottom line:
1.Running is still the greatest sport in the world.
2.If you get injured, give your self plenty of time to recover.and LISTEN TO YOUR
   MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL!!!.
