A DIP IN THE LAKE
I've thought a lot about our dear friend Jack Evans lately- the wonderful times Phil and I have had with Jack and Joan. So many of these wonderful times were had at Keuka Lake. I hadn't thought of this incident in years but for some reason it recently popped into my head.
One evening after the kids were all sleeping, Joan and I were in a daring mood and decided it would be fun to go swimming "au natural." With robes on we made our way in the darkness to the dock where we dropped them and quickly got into the water. Suddenly there were footsteps on the dock and our robes disappeared. As if that wasn't enough, when Jack got back to the cottage, he turned on the spotlight. After much pleading and yelling they finally turned the light out and returned our robes. We made a hasty return to the cottage. We weren't very happy with our funny spouses. They didn't care. They just grinned at us. We've known Jack for 40 some years and feel very lucky to have had him for a friend. The four of us had some really good times together.
