FAMILY CIRCLE
Jack and Joan visited us in June 1998, a few months before Mike and Julie’s wedding, for a family wedding shower. We had a lovely day. As the Evans’ were leaving, Jack quietly made his way to me and asked me about one of the pictures hanging in our living room. He said, “When I saw what you have hanging up, as the focus of your room, I was happy. There is nothing more important than family. I’m glad the Rancourts know that too.” Here is the saying in the picture frame that Jack noticed that day:
He was at the head of that family, whose circle grows stronger. We were privileged to know him, even for a short time.
