JACK'S KNOWING GRIN

Many of our trips to Keuka Lake have occurred in late summer, usually around
Labor Day weekend.  At that time of year, the weather is unpredictable.  On one particular visit several years ago, Joan had made dinner arrangements for Jack, Terry and I at the Lakeside Inn where there was to be jazz later that night.  We sat outside since it was a pleasant evening, but a bit chilly.

Of course, the two ladies needed their sweaters from the car.  Terry drove that evening as we had to show off our new Ford Explorer that we purchased a short time before our trip to the lake.  Jack offered to get our wraps from the car.  As he returned to our table and handed the keys back to Terry, Jack hit the PANIC button unbeknownst to us!  Oh, listen there goes someone's car alarm Terry and I said.  Can you imagine people letting that happen and iinterrupting the diners peaceful evening!

Without a word, Terry and I both glanced at Jack at the same time!  That grin appeared.  Need I say more!
