| About the Creator: My name is Rebecca, and as you have guessed, I love Russia! I have always been fascinated with foregin cultures and people. In search of my "perfect country," I have stumbled across the former Soviet Union, and the current country it now is-Russia. My newfound love of this place has shaped my career goals and aspirations in life. I hope to attend a Russian University or an American one on a scholarship, which I would go study abroad in Russia from. I would major in political science, journalism, and learn the great Russian language. Maybe I'll become an ambassador or something like that. I have always enjoyed writing, but I want to get out and experience the world. My favorite sport is ice hockey, which I also play. It is fast-paced and requires a lot of skill. I have discovered many Russian hockey players by seeing my local NHL team-the Carolina Hurricanes. I have met Danny Markov, Igor Knyazev, Oleg Kvasha, Alexei Yashin, Sergei Brylin and I have seen the following players play live: Nikolai Khabibulin, Alexander Svitov, Alexei Morozov, Dmitry Afanasenkov, Sergei Zubov, Nikita Alexeev, and many others. At Stars on Ice, I witnessed Alexei Yagudin, Elena Berezhnaya, and her partner Anton, all three of them gold medalists. (Alexei acknowledged my sign for him at the end of the program, pointed at me, and smiled at me and my sign. What a great birthday present!)
