The end of the year is upon us!  As per the RR constitution, the four officers who will be seniors next year are stepping down to make room for new Rutgers Readers Officers.  We are looking for new Officers with enthusiasm, commitment and vision to lead RR into the future.  Positions are open to current members.
New officers will be selected and trained by the outgoing officers.  Outgoing officers will be available for support and guidance throughout the 2008-2009 school year.

Coordinators (2)
Communicate, work with, and coordinate actions of Public Relations Officers, Treasurer, Reader Leaders, and all members.
Organize and lead training (with the help of other officers and Reader Leaders).
Oversee all projects (book drive, recruitment, activities fair, etc.).
Be responsible for keeping track of materials and distributing them to Readers Leaders and members.
Internal Coordinator - works closely with Internal Public Relations and Reader Leaders
Handle correspondence between Reader Leaders and Officers.
Organize schedule and location of interviews, and oversee interview process.
Devise schedule for Redshaw shifts and assign Reader Leaders groups.
Monitor attendance at Redshaw with help of Reader Leaders.
Establish and maintain contact sheets.
External Coordinator - works closely with External Public Relations and Treasurer
Communicate with Redshaw regarding regular activities and any proposed changes in the program.
Communicate with community leaders and literacy programs to match Rutgers Readers? resources with New Brunswick's needs.
Be responsible for all necessary communication with the University, advisors, and the community.
Treasurer (1) ? Works closely with External Coordinator
Devise annual budget (with the support and input of other officers).
Communicate with the University regarding all financial matters (with the direct support of the External Coordinator).
Monitor income and spending for the group.
Keep track of all receipts.
Work with other officers to solicit support from businesses and/or other sources.
Public Relations
Write semester article and other general materials.
Internal Public Relations ? works closely with Internal Coordinator
Manage general communication with members, record and distribute minutes from meetings.
Maintain email account and organization?s website.
During recruitment, handle email correspondence with new and potential members.
External Public Relations ? works closely with External Coordinator
Coordinate special events and projects for the organization.
Orchestrate publicity for such events/projects.
Be responsible for leading recruitment efforts ? publicity including fliering, Targum ads, attaining clearance for placement of applications/book drive boxes in dining halls, student centers, etc.

4) As an officer of Rutgers Readers, how do you plan to keep the group strong and make it better?  What would you keep the same, and what would you try to change or improve?
5) The jobs of the officers are frequently time consuming, especially at the beginning and end of each semester.  Also, unexpected events sometimes pop up which require extra time and attention.  In addition to Rutgers Readers, what will be your time commitments for the 2008-2009 school year?  (Please include expected course load, jobs, internships, volunteering, and other student groups.)
