I purchased this to try to find a somewhat inexpensive way to stabilize the AC line voltage. I was renting an old century home at the time and knew that the voltage was not all that great. At that location I noticed quite a big difference in the clarity of sound and the imaging of the speakers. At my current location, a high rise apartment I don't notice near as big a differnce. One thing I do like about this "line conditioner" is that is does a good job of filtering out things like blenders and vacuums. It sounds stupid, but I hate watching a movie and someone is using an appliance and the screen goes all fuzzy.
