But, with that being said, I know you're going to keep reading anyways.... actually, probably not. The only people who actually read this website are like... my mom, and probably Andre. I mean, other people come here too, but, in General, most people just come a lookin' for pictures and stuff. Although, I'm sure several people DO in fact read this website, and, for those of you out there who do, I hope you know that you're about to get a giant amount of written material you can read RIGHT NOW. Isn't that awesome?
So, when I thought about what I wanted to entitle this, I originally called it "after thoughts" seeing as though I'm not going to backtrack and change anything, I will continue to call it after thoughts, but, I wish I had called it "last thoughts" or perhaps "final opinion" because, that's actually what this is. This entire chunk of writing, whether it is appreciated by anyone or not, is actually a collection of end thoughts. Because, this is indeed the end of Ryan-named websites. I've been through a LOT of those. It's been a long 5 years of Ryan Chessman brand websites, and now that I'm going with "dinosaurpirates" a more subtle, professional name, it's about time I gave my respects to previous works i've done.
Also, for some reason past my own knowledge, I wish to write different things here other than the goodbye to the website. I mean, considering I've had a website for the past 5 years of my life, I figure I might as well lay to rest not only the website, but the other things which have occured over the past 5 years. This of course, is the only way to go about things.
We shall start at the beggining. Before the time of ryanchessman.com, back to the time of www.oocities.org/winter_surplus. I tried recently to revisit that website, but, there was really no luck. I had no luck whatsoever. What that site was, was my first site. It was a website about nova scotia. I built it for a grade 8 geography class. That's what began my website work. I followed that up with www.oocities.org/ryan_is_obviously_too_cool.
I stuck with the RIOTC until the solid end of ryanchessman.com. This came back in grade 9. I had my own website, and it was great fun. The .com's were free back then, and somehow, even when mine was SUPPOSED to be deleted, it never was. So, I stuck with ryanchessman.com for as long as I could, which was sometime into the middle of grade 11.
Ryan Chessman a very... fun website to work with. I always made a "staff" page, pretending like other people actually did anything, but, they really didn't. I just borrowed their pictures for various sections, or, pretended that they did things for me. Really, every Ryan Chessman website, from ryanchessman.com, through total breakdown, even ryanosaur.tk was all hand made, all by me. No staff, no help, none of that.
Ryan Chessman was also the first website where I was able to start up an online "survivor" where I would hold competitions through my friends, and then promise the winner $5. The problem with these events, is that by the end, there was like only 2 people who cared, so, basically I had to hand pick the winner. I give credit to Stephen Sullivan for actively participating in EVERY Ryan Chessman game, and trying really hard to win all of them.
So, as I mentioned Earlier, ryanchessman.com lasted me for almost 3 full years. All of grade 9, all of grade 10, and a portion of grade 11. This, of course was when they finally took it away from me, so, I was left without a website. This, of course was a potential weird thing. And when I noticed, I immediately began work on a new website. Total Breakdown.
Total Breakdown was a weird website. It was almost... a transitional period between the loss of ryanchessman.com, and the new phenom of ryanosaur.tk. Total Breakdown was located at Totalbreakdown.tk, but, that probably no longer exists. TB was a weird collection. It was based NOTHING on me. I had a tribute page to ryanchessman.com, but, that was it.
I never even finished total breakdown. But, I suggest you check it out on the link up there. I just browsed through it, and I realized some of the stuff in there is pretty decent. I mean, I made Jesus Raps to songs... and one of them was like... a prozzak song. Also, the set of disses is SO terrible and pulled out of my ass, that you should check it out. Plus, the picture pages have potential.
After TB died down, and I got lazy for a few months, I decided to make a killer comeback with ryanosaur.tk (previously seen here). Of course, if you don't remember what that website was all about, then that's too bad, because I covered the only link to any things having to do with ryanosaur. I mean, honestly, it was an alright website, but, I just didn't feel like maintaining it all the time. I'm hoping with dinosaurpirates that changes, but, who knows.
What I just really wanted to do, was to thank the free system of geocities, and yahoo for these past 5 years of faithful service. I even went as far as to purchase my new website though yahoo, because of how much I thank them for these past 5 years. MAD RESPECT YO!
