Introduction
Travelling along the well wore path, with her boots gently clicking with each stride taken. The pale moonbeams glimmered across each small red pebble giving off a radiant blood like colour that danced within the dense air. Twitching her ears to each frail sound of the night, the sight of a tree moving in the wind, sent a shiver swarming up her spine and numbing her neck. Tightening her grip; on the carefully forged hilt of the sword that sat heedlessly within its scabbard, just to be sure that she could remove the smooth metal without a flaw if anything tried to make a move on her. Using her free gloved hand, she covered her nose from the gruesome smell of death and blood that hung thick in the air that it was almost impossible not to gag with covering your face. Thinking to her-self that walking through a freshly raided graveyard wasn’t such a good idea and doing it in the middle of the night was even worse. Taking a quick and humble glance over her shoulder, the lone woman picked up her pace and directed her attention to what was in front of her. Straining her eyes to see farther into the eerie darkness was utterly useless and in a way completely stupid. Relaying more on her ears, she finally heard an unwelcoming sound that hovered over her head… or was it just a mind trick? Lifting her gaze to the cloudy skies that threatened to rain with such power was a blank slate of nothing. But even if she couldn’t see what there was, she suddenly felt as if she wasn’t alone. Slowing her walking pace to a stalking crawl, the woman creped low to the ground and unsheathed her sword. Uncovering her face finally, this brave yet dimwitted girl slipped carefully around a deathly corner to hopefully meet this invisible prowler and personally get rid of it. As if the gods had granted her wish, a colossal Renik towered above her head with eyes full of hated rage. Standing a definite eight foot, this beast had its knotted fur covered with blood it’s last dinner. Having her cloak hood drop off her head, the woman stared wide eyed at the beast as it roughly flung her to his right. She was nothing to this monster; just like a rag doll he had ease with removing her from his path. Forcing herself to stand again, she raise the sword to waist height and felt her anger unleash its self. As if a new being had taken over her body, the girl took three steps forward and bounded up towards the beast’s head. The Renik swung powerfully at this elf girl and swatted her off his chest as she fell to the ground with a painful thud. With one swift motion the gal was on her feet and slipping behind the creature’s back. Bringing the weapon of ancient power up to chest height, she plunged it deep within the lower right part of the Reink’s back. Howling with pain, ferocity and inner hate the fiend thrashed about like a bucking bronco, but with her anger still stronger, this elf held onto the hilt of the sword as she swung back and forth. Gripping the sword tightly in her gloved palms she gave it a sharp twist and pulled back making her fall to the ground.
