The Rules
Every page must be 100% done and up before you apply.
I do not accept reserves. Any candidate not in by the deadline will not impress.
Deadline: December 13, 2002 (Friday)
Or when the clutch is filled, whichever comes first.
Candidate stories must follow the chosen Topic.
Any candidate stories failing this requirement will not be accepted.
Candidates do not have to be Pern related.
Ryslen will accept Pernese, Alskyrian, Danachian, or anything else you can dream up. The candidate must be able to ride or fly with a dragon.)
Your page must be child-safe.
If you wouldn't want your little sister or your grandmother to read it, chances are it won't be accepted.
There must be a working link back to Ryslen Weyr.
Please try to put "Ryslen" instead of "here."
If you Impress, you have one week to get your dragon's hatchling stage up.
If you fail, they will be abandoned. You will have a week to get the weyrling stage up, and a week to get the adult stage up. If this is not humanly possible for you, you must Email Tiyanni before the week is up.
You may not alter the images without permission.

Congrats! You're already ahead of the game! Please indicate in the form which color(s) of firelizard(s) appear in your candidate's story.
We understand that some people prefer to keep their weyrs/cathairs/caers traditional. If you prefer your candidate not impress an opposite gendered dragon, this Must be on your form. If it isn't, you have no right to complain when it happens. No Exceptions.
If you'd like to name your own dragon, please put the name on the form. If you want to name your dragon, but still be surprised, put more than one name. Your names will not be taken and used for other dragons without your permission. Please be aware that putting a name on the form does not guarantee your dragon will have that name.
If you believe you have a valid reason for breaking one of these rules, please debate it with Tiyanni via email. As a scholar of philosopy, she'll greatly enjoy hearing (and refuting if necessary) your logic. If you break the rules, but haven't discussed with Tiyanni, expect to pay the consequences.

F'lizard Blizzard!
It's as bad as it sounds. Countless firelizards in fifteen different colors have made their way into the world, every one with a blizzard of white on their wings.
You may have as many firelizards as you want - however, you must have one! If your candidate does not have one of these firelizards on their page, they won't be accepted. Simple enough.
I would prefer that no candidate have all fifteen colors, but whatever works...
I also realize that some people prefer their candidates/bonders/aspirants to not have pets. In that case, the firelizard can be wild, or belong to someone else - but must still be on the page and in the story.
These firelizards are for Flurry Candidates only. Please ask me if you would like to use them elsewhere.
The firelizards come as transparent gifs, or as banners proclaiming "F'lizard Blizzard" and "Ryslen Flurry 2002" on them. You can use either or both as you see fit. There is also a text-only banner that you can use in addition to the transparent flits. (F'lizards. Whatever.)
Please remember to save them to your harddrive and upload them to your own server. I will be deleting them from mine after the Flurry clutch hatches, and any candidate page I catch without a firelizard after I've taken them down will forfeit their dragon. Harsh, but fair. Don't you agree?

Weyrlingmaster D'lrik and Brown Aurekinth
D'lirk is in his 50's now, and is very calm and controlled, even when younglings have done something very wrong. He is stern when he needs to be, but quick to encourage and commend those who need it most. Aurekinth keeps a watchful eye on candidates and 'lings alike from his ledge when not actively teaching.
Headwoman Ikara
Ikara is a cheerful woman in her late 40's who'd be rolly-polly if she wasn't constantly busy with one thing or another. Kind hearted, but stern when she needs to be.
Watchrider Kerli and Green Sxoith
Kerli is a reclusive, quiet woman. Sxoith is a bit nosy. The pair is suited well to watching who comes and goes from Ryslen.
Watchrider-in-training Ke'li and Red Xhimboth
Ke'li is son of Kerli, and half-brother of Ke'l -- shared father. Ke'li is a very helpful young man.
Please note that Tiyanni is now retired. While she is still at Ryslen, she's probably chatting with the mothers on the sands or causing mischeif or something.

J'lenn on Blue Scith
J'lenn is King of the Hidebound - cranky. Very cranky. Warning - He strongly dislikes non-human candidates, and non-pernese colored dragons. Late 40-ish. Single. Obviously.
D'run on Blue Okserth
D'run is the fatherly type, looks for good in everyone. He's early 50-ish, weyrmated to Headwoman Ikara
R'lan on Blue Ancith
R'lan is the big brother type. Expect a bit of 'tough love' if necessary. He's 30-ish now, weyrmated to Greenrider Tylar (who's going to have her baby soon!)
J'rin on Blue Amitath
J'rin is a fun-loving joker, and Amitath is never wrong. Arguing with him is a bad idea... J'rin is about 30, all-but-married to Greenrider Maiahn. (You can read his story here.)
Minaeya (Min, for short) on Night-Green Auspexeth
Min can see auras (read her story for details. Please note that she can not tell precisely what color a candidate will impress, unless they are strongly blue or green.), and Aussie has a very sensitive nose. Also they're Ryslen's only Female Searchers. Min is late 20ish, and single.
Rrknz on Blue Chzarnth
Rrknz is a sweet-talking, courteous, and enthusiastic male Dgeth, a former ambassador. He’s unbiased and clear-headed, but tends to take on more than he can handle--traits that his lifemate, the noble blue Chzarnth, mirrors.
