Kinesiology is used in the Natural Health Field as an effective and versatile tool to identify and correct stress and imbalance in the body, using muscle testing and bio-feedback.
What precisely is Kinesiology?
Kinesiology is defined primarily as the use of muscle testing to identify imbalances in the body's structural, chemical, emotional or other energy, to establish the body's priority healing needs, and to evaluate energy changes brought about by a broad spectrum of both manual and non-manual therapeutic procedures.
Kinesiology, therefore, may be understood as a system of natural health care which combines muscle monitoring with the principles of Chinese medicine to assess energy and body function, applying a range of gentle yet powerful healing techniques to improve health, well-being and vitality.
A fundamental premise of Kinesiology is that the body has innate healing energy and is at all times doing its best to care for itself, but that sometimes it needs to be helped into a better position to achieve this care.
Kinesiology also recognizes that there are flows of energy within the body that relate not only to the muscles but to every tissue and organ that go to make the body a living, feeling being.
These energy flows can be evaluated by testing the function of the muscles, which in turn reflect the body's overall state of structural chemical, or emotional balance.
In this way, Kinesiology taps into energies that the more conventional modalities overlook. Kinesiology looks beyond the symptoms. Kinesiology does not treat named diseases. Nor does it diagnose them. Kinesiology is concerned with imbalances in the body's energy. In this respect, Kinesiology has close links with the acupuncture concept of energy flow.
Kinesiology is not limited to dealing with ailments. Energy balancing brings a person closer to achieving any goal of their choice ~ in sport, relationships, learning or coping with life in general.
Precision muscle monitoring techniques are applied to identify and correct energy blockages within the body.
Always the answer is somewhere inside you. Muscle monitoring is a natural feedback system using an indicator muscle, which supplies information via nerve pathways and the meridian system of the Brain and Body.
Kinesiology bypasses conscious thinking processes to isolate causal factors in the subconscious, body and etheric levels. Honoring this system enables the body to clear itself at its own enhanced rate and priority.
Neuro-Linguistic Programming:NLP has become the 'people skills technology' of choice as we approach the 21st century. It has massive benefits in the worlds of business, education, counseling and personal development. It is difficult to define, but here are some useful ways to think about it:
NLP is the art and science of human excellence.
NLP has a highly effective 'technology' for accelerating
personal and professional development.NLP is an instruction manual for the mind.
In the mid-seventies, skills of some of the leading masters of communication and personal change were used as a model for a new learning program. The new program of counseling was called Neuro-Linguistic Programming.
Neuro refers to the neurological processes of seeing, hearing, feeling, smelling and tasting, which form the basic building blocks of our experience.
Linguistic refers to the ways we use language to represent our experience and communicate with others.
Programming refers not to programming, as in computers, but rather to the strategies we use to organize these inner processes to produce results.
NLP identifies and defines how our minds work. By developing a practical understanding of these processes we can learn how to achieve results that often seem magical.
Put simply, NLP skills offer specific and practical ways of making desired changes in your own and others' behavior. NLP is the 'know how' that works for human behavior. So now you can ask yourself: "How would I like to redesign my life?" and "What would I want to achieve in both my personal and professional life if I knew how?"
At the heart of NLP is understanding how people do what they do well. NLP modeling identifies and defines the thought processes and mind patterns used by top performers. It enables us to discover the difference between competence and excellence in any given area of human activity. It is used in training, sales, business, management, coaching, counseling, education, sport and the performing arts.
NLP increases awareness and choice. The skills offer you a practical way of achieving a highly generative learning ability with which to produce better results in the areas of your choice. Learning to learn anything more effectively may be one of the best investments you can make in a world of accelerating change.
There are four fields in which NLP is eminently useful: communication, change, mental management and personal development.
Communication
NLP teaches us how to establish good rapport with another person; how to calibrate, meaning how and what to observe in behaviors in order to be able to detect his inner states; how to prepare and how to lead conversations; how to formulate and to reach one's goals.
Change
NLP provides a multitude of interventions that transform personal limitations into resources. Most of the other approaches in the field of change are contentorienated and relate to the origins of the problem in the past. NLP doesn't deny the usefulness of this way of proceeding ; for more efficiency it operates on the level of neurolinguistic structures of limitations.
The first goal of an NLPpsychotherapist is to understand how his client is proceeding within himself in order to produce his limitation (What happens within you when the limitation comes up?) instead of going for answers that give explanations. NLPprocedures aim for change of the neurocerebral structures, of the way the client proceeds in his mind when he creates his limitation.
This also means that an NLPtherapist can assist his client in bringing about lasting changes without ever knowing what had gone wrong. The client may be surprised to observe changes after a therapy session which to him had seemed to be no more than an ordinary conversation.
Mental Management
NLP shows us the cerebral dynamics that enable us to gain control over our mind and over our emotions. This is done in a way that enhances the dynamics of spontaneity. Mental management also means:
- being able to learn rapidly
- being able to control one's inner states
- being able to access the degree of motivation that is most appropriate to the circumstances
- enhance one's mental and emotional flexibility so we are able to face situations in a satisfactory way
- being able to learn from circumstances ("there is no failure, there is only feedback")
- being able to access a neutral inner state any moment
- being able to handle fears.
Personal Development
NLP is unique in the field of models of human functioning and we may say that everything it offers is personal development. It shows us how to trigger dormant resources.
We discover how to attain personal and professional goals, how to open up to the within in order to retrieve spontaneously the verbal expressions that are the most adapted to a given context. We learned how to be at ease on the functional level, how to face all kinds of difficulties, how to know ourselves better, how to proceed in order to put oneself into question, how to uncover one's Essential Value and, last not least: how to no longer be occupied by all this.
What is Reiki?
The word "Reiki" ('Ray-key') is made up of two Japanese words:
Rei - meaning "universal, spiritual or free flowing" and
Ki - meaning "life force energy"Reiki is a "spirit led life force energy”.
Reiki is a safe, gentle, non-invasive form of hands-on healing that increases energy, reduces pain, produces deep relaxation and a general feeling of well-being. Reiki initiation attunes a practitioner to become a channel for the Reiki energy and is a powerful, life-changing experience for growth along your spiritual path.
This universal life force energy, by definition, is found everywhere in the universe and is the same energy that modern science in general, and quantum physics in particular, recognizes as the subatomic energy which underlies all matter.
It is also the same energy known to many ancient civilizations, by many names, including Ch'i (Chinese), Prana (Asian Indian), Barraka (Islamic countries), Ruach (Hebrews), Mana (Polynesians) and Orenda (Iroquois Native Americans), to name but a few!
Although this energy is present everywhere, imbalances can and do occur. When they occur in the human body the results may include stress, inability to concentrate, depression and physical disease.
Provide relaxation, confidence, peace and joy.
Remove tension and negative energies.
Release stress.
Create balance, harmony, clarity and good focus in daily work.
Improve concentration.
Aid meditation and positive thinking.
Encourage personal development, self-love and love for others.
Allow one to become more responsible for one's health.
Accelerate the natural healing process.
Enhance, and not interfere with, any other treatment or medication.
Lead to a better quality of life.
Reiki Therapy is a technique for stress reduction and relaxation which involves the channeling of universal life force energy through the Reiki Practitioner and into the Recipient, with the intention of correcting any imbalance of energy. Because the Practitioner merely acts as a channel for the energy, he or she also benefits from the Reiki energy as it passes through them!
Reiki works on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels which means that, unlike orthodox medicine, it treats the person as a whole, rather than just the symptoms of a condition. The human body has a natural propensity to heal itself and Reiki simply accelerates this process.
What happens during a Reiki Session?
Reiki Therapy is given by placing hands on, or slightly above parts of the body that correspond with the major energy centers (Crown, Brow, Throat, Heart, Solar Plexus, Navel and Root). The hands are left in each position for 2 to 5 minutes. There is no massaging involved and the Practitioner will respect personal privacy. Both the Recipient and the Practitioner remain fully clothed, although the Recipient may be asked to remove shoes or items of tight-fitting clothing such as a large belt.
The therapy may be given with the Recipient lying down on a couch, the floor or seated on a straight-backed chair. A full session can last for an hour or more but, if time is limited, a shorter session can be arranged which lasts about 15 minutes. While the effects of the shorter session may not be as long lasting as a full session, remarkable results can be obtained even in this short time.
In the room where the Reiki is given there may be relaxing music and/or aromatic fragrances to create a pleasant atmosphere. However, these are not essential to the therapy and can be removed if the Recipient wishes.

Let the hands of the Wizzard help you!The Wizzard
Colin Stringer began his career in the early 1970’s as a Hypnotherapist. In the 1980’s, he worked in Neuro-Linguistic Programming Counseling Skills. He also studied Psychology in the late 1980’s. In the mid 1990’s, he became a Reiki Channeler using Healing Energy to help his clients.
Mr. Stringer studied Kinesiology in 1999, earning his Kinesiology diploma in the year 2000. He combines Kinesiology with his Neuro-Linguistic Programming Counseling Skills. This enables the nervous tension that is transferred to the body from the mind to be corrected at the same time the body is healing. Once the mind has cleared away it's problem then the body is better able to heal itself.
Teaching his clients to use Therapeutic Metaphors also helps with long distance Counseling and enables his client to view the world differently and in a more positive light.
Known as the “Wizzard” to his friends on the internet, Colin Stringer is willing to help you solve any personal problems you may be having concerning your mental or physical health.

TestimonyOnce upon a time, a long time ago, a young girl was loved and cherished for all the wrong reasons. These reasons molded her life into one in which she had no desire to participate. These events carved her life into small pieces and over the years, the pieces were becoming worn and would not fit together. Like a jigsaw puzzle, the bits and pieces needed someone who could see the whole picture to help her put her life back together into some semblance of reality.
Then, a Wizzard was brought to her who loved to do puzzles.
I met Colin Stringer in the summer of 2000. I was having trouble relating to life in general. Due to past traumatic events in my life, my mental status was unstable. I was having nightmares. I was the Queen of Insomnia.
My physical health was being ravaged with physical ailments and the stress, of constantly reliving the events of my past, was keeping me from healing mentally. Then I met the “Wizzard”.
I met him on a computer, on the internet. My dear friend, Karen, introduced us as she believed “Wizzard”, as he was called on the internet, could help bring some control to my life. Soon the words on the monitor screen began to make sense to me, and the dialogues grew from casual gossip to mind expanding conversations.
Using visualization techniques and his training in neuro-linguistic programming, Colin Stringer was able to guide me to a place where I became the controller of my life.
As I have gained control, my life has began to slowly change. I have fewer nightmares and my sleep is more sound and restful. I am able to lie down and sleep without fear of waking in a screaming fit. My life has a focus other than dealing with being constantly ill.
Through his positive training, I am learning to develop a more positive posture for my life. I have a long way to go as yet, but now I feel the light at the end of the tunnel is a beacon .. not a train fixing to squash me flat.
Thank you Colin. Through your techniques, I am becoming complete. My life is no longer a collection of broken fragments from a dime store puzzle, but is becoming a piece of art with bright and brilliant flourishes of spirit.
