| Banana Nut Bread | ||||||||||
| Cream: 1/2 cup shortening 1 1/3 cups sugar Add: 2 large bananas (sliced) 2 tablespoons milk Mix well with mixer, add: 2 eggs, and blend Mix together and add: 1 3/4 cups flour 1/2 teaspon soda 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon nutmeg Fold in 1 cup chopped nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, then 325 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until done. Makes 2 7 1/2 x 3 1/2 nut bread size loaves OnePan Banana Bread 1/3 cup vegetable oil 2 1/3 cups Bisquick baking mix 1 1/2 cups mashed ripe bananas (3) 1 cup sugar 1/2 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 cup chopped nuts 3 eggs Heat oven to 350 degrees. Generously grease bottom of loaf pan, 9x5x3". Mix all ingredients in pan with fork; beat vigorously 1 min. Bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. 55 to 65 min. Cool 5 min. Run knife around sides of loaf; remove from pan. (If loaf sticks, press gently on sides with knife.) Renee Zamora |
