Our Favorite Recipes
German Scones
Dissolve 2 pkgs. yeast in 1/2 cup warm water.  Add tablespoon sugar.

Pour 1 cup boiling water over:
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup margarine
2 teaspoon salt

Add:
3 beaten eggs
Yeast mixture
2 cups flour

Beat with mixer until smooth.  Add 2 1/2 cups flour and stir in.  Let rise for 1 hour, stir down, then cover and refrigerate.  When desired, roll out very thin and cut in 2 inch squares.  Fry in hot oil.
