I was born during the administration of Franklin Delano Roosevelt in 1934. He would probably be considered the greatest president. He took over from Herbert Hoover considered the worst President. The unemployment was at 50%. Roosevelt got the country working again and rallied all Americans when we were attacked at Pearl Harber. He brought us thru the Great War and brought The Social Security system to older Americans. He was followed by Harry Truman, also considered a great President. He tried to get medicare but failed. He also tried to get universal health care for all Americans. He was thwarted in this by the Republicans. My favorite President was Dwight D.Eisenhowser. The country was at peace after a long war. He got the interstate highway system going. It was a happy time but the Korean War was getting started and the Communist threat was under way. John Kennedy was a good President and faced down Khrushchev in Cuba. It was a very sad time when Kennedy was killed. Lyndon Johnson was the next president. He got Truman's Medicare program into law. He brought civil rights to to black people that could not vote or go to school with whites. He unfortunately got us into a unneeded war in Viet Nam. Just like Bush in Iraq. Richard Nixon was not a good President. Gerald Ford took over when Nixon had to resign. He was followed by Jimmy Carter. I liked Carter but he was not a good President. Ronald Reagan was a good President, except for his trickle down economics that did not work. He was followed by George H.W. Bush also not a good President. Bill Clinton was a good President. The biggest job growth in the history of the goverment. The national deficit was being paid off. He really disappointed everyone with the Monica Lewinski scandal. The worst President in my lifetime is the present one we have. George W. Bush.He is very bad.

I suppose FDR was President when I was born. He was probably fooling around with his girlfriend that day and thinking he was pulling the wool over old Eleanor's eyes. Too bad he couldn't have been as smart as she was.

Guess my favorite president was Thomas Jefferson. He was brilliant in a lot of areas. His home is full of wonderful things he invented to make life easier. And his collection of books formed the core of our present Library of Congress. He was a great architect, a good farmer, a talented writer, and a very creative thinker. Yeah, rah ray for red-headed Tom Jefferson!

The president at the time of my birth was Harry S Truman. I don't have any favorite president. I remember different presidents for different reasons. The first president I remember was JFK because he assainated. That will always stick in my mind. You always remember where you were at the time even though I was only 12 years old. I remember all the other presidents but none are my favorites.

Who was your favorite president and why?
This should get a raise out of people. It's President Bill Clinton.
# 1 When he was President he did get us out of our National debt.!!!!! Look at us now and the still climbing deficiet!!!! SAD!!!!
He cared about the education of our children he didn't keep cutting the money for thier education needs. It is sad that school districts have to cut their teachers andmany of their programs. But we can supposedly afford to have a uncalled for war and spend billions of dollars of our money on their peoples needs. They live in one of the richest oil countries in the world. They can afford to do more for their people than we ever could for ours. Can you imagine how that money would help our people thats being spent over there. Clinton helped the people of this country with programs that were needed to help them better themselves. We work hard here in America . Some of our hard earned tax money should be helping us to better our lives and our childrens. Enough of that! Your question hit a sore spot for me. Our present people in our government seem to be more interested in lining the pockets of their former big bussiness buddies like the so called Halburton Inc. Yes ex Pres Bill Clintons behavior wasn't kosher. But you can't tell me there weren't other Presidents and yes, probably other people in our government who did the same thing. They just didn't get caught.

The president of the U.S. when I was born was Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1938. He was the favorite because he got us out of the great depression. Another favorite of mine was Ronald Reagan. He came to terms with the Russians for tearing down the wall and bearing friends with the U.S.

I am not sure who was president when I was born. I remember loving President Kennedy, I was so sad when he was shot and killed. I also like Ronald Reagan.
