1. Tell about your favorite uncle.

2. What changes have you seen in technology? (Indoor plumbing, water, telephones, computers, cars, etc.)
I would like to tell about running water. Of course there was running water all around us growing up but we didn't have it. When I got married I carried two pails of water in, heated them and took a bath in the square wash tub. I told Don all he had to do to please me is give me a home with running water and a bathroom. Our first house had one bath, the second a bath a half, the third two and a half, and then all of a sudden I had 65 bathrooms. I said "enough, enough". Our cottage complex in Maine grew from 19 units to 60. I cleaned all the bathrooms. Now I have it right with 3 bathrooms and I complain about cleaning them. Go figure!
3. Tell something you remember about one of your grandparents. (Were they funny, crazy, loving, mean, or special in a certain way.)
About: Alice (Osberg) Harris
When I was 9 or 10 I used to wear my hair in braids. I loved to have Gramma Harris braid it because she had a way of being gentle. Her hands shook a little and she had a funny way of breathing, like a hum. It was so soothing (not like my big sisters). I also remember taking it back out because I didn't like the way it looked. She was always a gentle sweet lady to me. I was the baby and really, really cute!!!!!
4. Did you ever have an accident, illness, or an operation? Pick one and tell about it.

5. Tell what your hobbies or interests are. (Do you sing, sew, write, hunt, build things, let us know more about you.)
I am interested in playing golf. We moved to Hilton Head Island in a golf community. There are two great golf courses and really nice people. I play four or five times a week. We have an 18 hole ladies league and I am the lowest handicap. I am currently playing in a league of woman from all over the Island. It is a match play league. I get to play lots of different courses and meet new people. I am the Club Champ for ladies two years in a row. If I could learn to putt I'd be aw some! Ha!
6. Tell about the changes in television. (Anything you want, earlier shows vs. today's shows, invention of VCR's & DVD's, the sky's the limit.)

10. Tell us about your favorite Aunt
My favorite
aunt was Aunt Pearl Archard. If it hadn't been for her I might not
have been able to participate
in a lot of things at school or
other activities. She would drive Uncle Wally to work and get the car
to take us to different things. She took us to Saratoga on a day trip
to see Pepper's Turkey farm, Mount McKinley and Grant's cottage. We
had a special night at the Lake George park and there was no bus so
she took us for the event and sat by the lake for two or three hours
while we did our thing. One time she had been away a few days and
when she got home she hugged Sandra and Gavin , then came over and
hugged me too. She always made me feel special. She had eight kids of
her own but I knew I could count on her if I needed to. When my kids
were into all the activities, I was sure I took them and their
friends to all that I could.
