Rock-A-Bye Rubbings | ||||||||||
Kindergarten students learned about the song Rock-A-Bye Baby during the week that they were studying the letter R. We talked about texture and how to create it by making Rubbings. The students created rubbings of a textured strip of rubber and actual leaves to create their tree. We then made an imaginary baby with a cotton ball, paper, a small piece of fabric, and string. The string was attached to the baby in the cradle and the baby actually swings in the tree top. |
