The campaign is online, I really believe if enough people sign the petition we can get this score released.

25th August 2000: 2.20pm BST
The campaign has been online for 1 day and we have so far 33 "signatures", I am very pleased people are supporting this, if you havent signed the petition yet then please do so, it only takes a minute!

Thanks to the webmaster over at
Filmtracks who put a short note about the campaign on his site.

Over at the
Film Score Monthly Messageboard, I was told that due to the location and the orchestra that was used in the recording of this score, re-use fees for a release of the score  are likely to be negligible, this certainly makes a release more financially viable for Rhino/Warner.

3rd September 2000. 1.40pm BST
Just over a week since the campaign started and we have 108 "signatures", I will shortly be sending a letter to both Warner Bros. and Rhino Records informing of them of the support for a release of the soundtrack.

Thanks to all those who emailed me there support, amongst the emails I recieved was a very interesting peice if information. According to this person who emailed me:
"
the entire core is in a vault at Elstree *A studio outside of London, England* AS WE SPEAK with both Williams & Fishmans *who composed some synthesizer source music* music on CD, waiting to be copied into soundtracks"
If this is true, it would appear that a release of the soundtrack was prepped back when the film was originally released, but scrapped at the last minute when the film under-performed at the box office.

Thanks to Webmasters over at Superman Cinema, John Williams Central and the Superboy Webpage who added links to the campaign on there site.

Lastly, the rumour about Intrada trying to aquire, but being denied, the rights to release the soundtrack has turned out to be completely untrue, they never even approachd Warner about the soundtrack. Thanks to Roger Fiegelson over at Intrada for setting the record straight and apoligies to his company for the error.

26th October 2000.
The petition now has over 200 Signatures!
I'll be sending a letter along with a copy of the campaign to Rhino Records this Monday, so for those who haven't signed it, this is your last chance to add your voice to the campaign.
