YOUR OPINION

"Sergey Kashin is a KILLER blues guitarist.
What comes across the most to me is his incredible feeling for the music.
His phrasing is vocal-like, his string-bending is emotive, and his singing and playing come straight from the heart. He takes his time and pays homage to the roots of the music he so obviously loves and adds his own personality to his singing and playing.
His dedication and love for the blues is evident in every note he plays and sings."

Barry Levenson, lead guitarist, Canned Heat, producer, Storyville Records

Dear Serge,
I visited your web site and I heard your music. I have to say that you
defintely have a unique style. I was impressed by your feel and sound.
Keep up the good work.

THE PASSION OF DARCULA!!!!

This lady by the name of Claire Forlani is indeed very very fortunate to have our passionate and wonderful vocalist/guitarist Serge Kashin to write and sing a song for her. She must be feeling soulfully enlighted with this fabulous music from her dearest Serge now.

Nice acoustic, neat bassling and cool organ in the backdrop. This is indeed a combination of love machine. A track for love and a track for compassion. Any lady will fall, fall real hard to his sensational vocal, a vocal of demon quality - the quality of seduction in another word. Or perhaps Darcula is a more approciate word.

The passion of sentinement mood is so well crafted here, the gentleness and softness of this track is adorable and desirable. Feel with your heart lady and let the emotion out.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

A wonderful and heart warming play. A neat startup at the train station perhaps and the siren run across the intro is something unusual. Then as the guitars lighten up the nite, you can feel the most powerful and more enduring sound of the century. So much passion and so much love I felt with this JAZZY JAZZY track. I am indeed in love, in love with his acoustic plays.

Of the two songs, this is my favorite

Nice and smooth, good counter-point with the second guitar and bass. Maybe a little more of the background percussion woud distract too much from that, dunno.. Of the two songs, this instrumental is the better, capturing what the blues is about without having to sing a word.

I think your pic and the style of your music reminds me a little of Eric Clapton :0) Very nice guitar playing, love that blues-y feel to it. Like the lyrics and vocals as well. Any chance you might add the lyrics for this one? Love the sound of this one. Superb work here.

You Call My Name

Frankly, this song sounds to me as it was made by the early Eric Clapton, except the voice. There's no difference to his and your guitar techniques as far as I can hear. The voice could be a little bit rougher for this style but the song is beautiful as it stands, too. I think I said it already, the organ is played gorgeous but too low in the mixdown. But again, a great blues track....

What a nice blues tune. Reminds me of the early Eric Clapton, although the vocals could be dirtier..:-). Absolutely professional guitar work. Mixdown should be adjusted one more time to make the organ louder. Nevertheless, I like it....

I`ve been sitting with Slowhander and SD tributer Sergey Kashin at his home, or should I say Claptonium Sergey is a young Moscouvite of 29 playing guitar for some seven years or so. I'm 55 and even can not sing two notes properly, unfortunately. But Sergey then has added a third lead on "Old love" together with EC and RCray last night, what great experience to me! His English is worse than mine but his playing is reallly fine!

Hey Sergey!!! I know it seems strange, but my review for your cd turned out to be a few lines of poems.

I've listened several times throughout the last few weeks to "get a feel" for it and then

I just sat down last night and wrote whatever came to me while listening to each track once.

I don't know, I guess I was just inspired and I went with my feelings!

Track 1: Familiar sounds from a foreign place, All the notes falling gently out of space

Track 2: Talent with no boundary, Thank you for every quandary

Track 3: Deep down in a rut Sweat drenching from another hard day When

will I ever see my pay?

Crying out to someone in the sky Why couldn't she just say

         goodbye?

Track 4: Clapton with a Russian twist Who in the world could resist?

Pain coming into my ears Just wait until next year!

Track 5: Slide until it grabs your heart Sad times when two friends depart

A strong bass and rhythm Precision wrapped with indecision

Track 6: Sleepless and random thoughts Will love ever really be caught?

Track 7: Time to dance around and around Side to side, up and down

Happy sounds surrounded by a frown Will my mind ever be

         found?

Track 8: She's gone but she never actually left Why do I feel so

         bereft?

Track 9: Raw and live, seizing forever this moment Reaching again

Track 10: Exploding deep into the night Probably giving my audience

a fright! So hurt, so incredibly inspired Magic coming from

         within

Track 11: Loose and having fun Knocking on your door I don't know

where it comes from I just let it out Risking it all,

even the mistakes It's my own music, for heaven's sake!

          Just letting the song flow

Where it leads you just never know! My goodness,

          a buddy enters my soul

Letting me get totally out of control That's where this ends,

          thanks for your time

Now can I borrow just one dime?
