In late May 2002 Sabre joined the EHWC. This fed contained many former OCW superstars and since Sabre was the last ever OCW world champ he was very confident that he would have huge success in his new fed. And he would get off to a great start by teaming with Magenta to beat Assassin and Hammer in a wild tag team encounter when he pinned Hammer following a sabrecrusher. Next week at the Highway to Hell pay per view, things got even better when Sabre and Magenta teamed up to beat Joe Burke and old adversory Paul Middle in a vicious flaming table, ladders and sledgehammers match to become the first ever EHWC tag team champions. During the match Cole Steele and Zzack came down to the ring to attack both teams but Sabre and Magenta where able to fend them off allowing Magenta to climb one of the ladders to retreive the belts and thus win the titles. Two weeks after this epic win Sabre took part in his first EHWC singles. He faced Cole Steel and after a tough match he hit the sabrecrusher and pinned his opponent. Next week Sabre made it two out of two in singles matches when he beat Ryan Trent following a sabrecrusher.
