The scene opens backstage in the EWF arena, at the moment we can a standard looking corridor. There is absolutely nothing remarkable about this corridor except for the fact that at this moment Sabre can be seen sneaking along it looking very suspicious as he does so and because of his very large frame he is also looking very conspicuous. After a few moments Sabre starts looking behind himself, when he does this he doesn't see EWF Ronan Reporter Ronan Bennett walking towards him. Sabre then proceeds to walk right into Ronan sending him sprawling to the ground. Sabre then turns around and see that he has knocked Ronan over, he quickly picks Ronan up and puts him back up on his feet. When he does this Ronan begins to speak.
Ronan Bennett: Hey Sabre watch where you're going will you.
Sabre: Sorry Ronan I will next time, but I am kind of distracted at the moment.
Ronan Bennett: What by Sabre?
Before Sabre answers he has a quick look round in all directions.
Sabre: Well before I answer that you haven't seen Magenta have you?
Ronan Bennett: Last time I heard she was just leaving the building to head off towards the gym.
Sabre: And she hasn't come back?
Ronan Bennett: Well not to my knowledge.
Sabre: Good Good Ronan.
Ronan Bennett: I can't see what's good about that for you, after all aren't you two best buddies?
Sabre: Oh we're more than best buddies my good man, but I just needed to get away from her for a short while.
Ronan Bennett: And why's that Sabre? Normally you two are always around each other so it doesn't make much sense for you to be trying to get away from her.
Sabre: Well normally I do like to spend my spare time with her and you only have to take a quick glance at her to see that any red blooded heterosexual male would want to do the same.
Ronan Bennett: Amen to that.
Sabre: But unfortunately this week Ronan I've got to get away from her for short time because as I just found out not too long ago that I'm in a match where I might end up wrestling her, and therefore I just have to talk some trash about her.
Ronan Bennett: And why do you need to get away from her to do that.
Sabre: Well if she overhears me talking trash about her I'd have hell to pay once the cameras turned off.
Ronan Bennett: Well that sounds fair enough, so what bad things do you have to say about her.
Sabre: All in good time Ronan, I have other things to discuss first, so I would appreciate it if you held up your microphone and kept quiet while I said them.
Ronan moves the microphone which he just happened to be holding closer to S abre.
Sabre: Right the first thing I'd like to discuss, is my first opponent at Tear Away, that of course being Mr Fozz. Fozz I'm quite angry with you at the moment, Magenta had me up all last night finding out information about you, and I'll tell you now if Magenta wants to do something which involves me staying up all night long I'd rather it wasn't finding out information on the likes of you. And I'll tell you what Fozz when I'm angry people tend to pay the price, and naturally that price to pay is pain. Perhaps even 1000 years of pain. Now from his recent comments it would seem that Mr Fozz has some respect for me, well after finding out a bit of background on Fozz I have respect for him too in all areas except his taste in football teams, and his footballing judgement. Newcastle top team in the North East, he only has to look at the Premier League table to see that Middlesbrough are way better than Newcastle. Anyway It would seem that he has accomplished a lot in his wrestling career, naturally not as much as me, but he has a good record. However on Sunday that respect will be thrown out of the window, because nothing is going to stand in my way of picking up the win and nothing will stand in my way of setting myself on course to becoming the number one guy in the EWF
Ronan Bennett: You really do seem determined to pick up the win don't you.
Sabre: Ronan I told you to be quiet, but to answer you're point of course I'm very determined, who wouldn't be when you're out there wrestling in front of 25,000 screaming fans. Okay that's enough about Fozz, since I had to spend all last night finding stuff out about him, I don't want to think about him anymore, so let's go onto my second point, that being Joe Carter. Joe you say you want to form a team with Magenta and I, so that we can go on and become a dominant force in the EWF. Well normally I wouldn't consider forming a team with you, not because of ability or anything like that, because you're a superb wrestler, and you're more than capable of forming a world class team with anybody, but I wouldn't normally consider forming a team with you because our personalities are just too different. It seems to me that we both have very different ideas about how to achieve our goals in the ring, and about life in general. But never the less I had a good think about your proposal, and I thought bollocks to having similar personalities, and similar ways of getting results in the ring. When it comes to forming a team it's results that count not whether or not you and your team mates are the absolute best of chums. So Joe to answer you're question, yes Magenta and I will form a team with you. I think it pretty obvious with our respective skills winning the tag belts should be fairly straightforward and then going on to be the dominant players in the EWF should be pretty straightforward too. However Joe, this team doesn't start until Monday. Until then we aren't a team, so at Tear Away we're on our own. I won't be helping you against The Undertaker, not that you need the help against the old bastard, and I don't want your help against Mr Fozz or in the Gauntlet match. But when Tear Away is over and done with and Monday comes around. We will be a team and we will go on to defeat anyone who stands in our way.
Ronan Bennett: Wow, Sabre, Magenta and Joe Carter. What a Team!
Sabre: Shut up Ronan, you're still supposed to be quiet. Yes it will a be hell of a team, but for now I'll stop discussing the inevitable nature of our success and move on my next topic of debate, that being the merging of the Perseverance and Break Away rosters. This should be a good move, because there were some good wrestlers on the Perseverance roster, namely my future team-mate Joe Carter, but there was also Dreadford, The Machine and Kid Kaos. These people will give me the high level of competition I need to progress to an even higher level than I am currently at. But I'll tell you now Ronan, as good as these guys are none of them will be able to stand in my way of becoming the world champion and holding on the world title belt for a long time indeed. Speaking of the world title belt at this time I would like to go on to my fourth and final topic of debate, the world title gauntlet match that I've been entered into. Ronan I've had a look at the people who are going to be involved in the match and the number they're going to enter the match at, and I've come to the conclusion that I must be the odds on favourite to win the match and therefore win the world title. There are some good competitors in the match, but all those good competitors have worse draws than me, so they should already tired by the time I enter the match so I'll probably be able to pick them off and then go on to win the match. But just to emphasise the fact that I should be favourite going into the match I'll examine all the other wrestlers shall I. Firstly the no hopers, and the biggest no hoper of them all is Lita. I predict that she won't even last a minute in the match.
Sabre: She'll already have had her ass handed to her earlier in the night by Magenta so she won't have much left to give in the match will she, and then you've got to add the fact that she can't really do much in the ring can she. She knows a few high flying moves, but that's it. She can't mat wrestle to save her life, and because of this she hasn't got a hope in hell of winning the gauntlet. The next no hoper is Sting. This guy must be well into his forties now, and should have retired long ago. In his prime he could have perhaps tested me, but these days I'd be more tested if someone asked me to name the capital of France. He is another who won't last long in the match, even his advantageous draw won't stop him from being embarrassed. Next up we'll go to the people who aren't exactly no hopers but there chances of winning are so slim that it would be utterly pointless to place a bet on them. The first of these guys is Adam Dunne. He's a well built guy and looks like he should have a lot of strength, but the guy has only one decent move in his repertoire, and that's the Adamnation. If you avoid that move and I'll easily be able to avoid it then he just can't beat you. If I end up squaring off with him I should be able to take everything he's got and then hammer him to the ground before finally pining him and eliminating him from the gauntlet. Next of these highly improbable winners is Taz, the world's shortest power wrestler. He knows his stuff in the ring but it will all be no use to him if he can't reach his opponents, if he comes up against me I'll have almost a foot on him, and a way longer reach too. And those physical gifts will mean he has no chance of even getting close to beating me. Rights that's 4 people down and 5 to go. The next three wrestlers I'm going to talk about are definitely in the long shot category. They might win but I'll have to be sick before the match or something. Unfortunately for Magenta this is the category I'd put her in. Which is why I don't want her to be around at the moment. You see Ronan, Magenta is a very tough women, and she's very intelligent in the ring capable of surprising anyone in there, but alas for her she is a women. One hell of a women I've got to admit but not good enough to overcome the huge size and power advantages that all the male wrestles will have over her. She may come close to winning the match, and might even beat a couple of male wrestlers along the way, but there is no way in hell that she will get past 8 men.
Sabre: Okay next up is Lake. To me Lake is the embodiment of being average. He just doesn't seem to specialise in anything or have any extraordinary abilities. He has mid level size, power, speed and technical skill, but seemingly no world class telents. That might be enough to give him success in the independents but here is the big leagues it is not going to take him to the world title level. I think Lake will put up a good performance but once he gets in the ring with a genuinely world class competitor like me, he will lose. Next of these long shots is Rey Mysterio Junior, now I'll admit that this guy impresses me a lot. His Ariel skills are amazing and he is pretty durable as well, but I just can't see how he can hurt me enough to pin me or make me submit. He's just way to small to even close to inflicting that much pain on me. I predict that once I get my hands on him, he'll be squashed like a bug. Okay finally we come to the group of people who could will surprise me and win this match. Those people are of course Krayze and Darkwing. Both these guys impress me, especially Darkwing. They both have a lot of ability and a lot of determination to be the best. But Ronan when they get into the ring with me will that ability and determination be enough. I doubt it, because not only is the draw against them, but I'm against them as well, and I just ain't going to lose this match. I'm going to win and become the first ever EWF world champ. There is just no doubt about it.
Ronan Bennett: Please can I ask you a question about the upcoming gauntlet.
Sabre: No you can't I've said all I want to say so let's leave it at that. Goodbye.
Sabre has another look around to make sure Magenta isn't around, when he's convinced she isn't around he starts to walk away from Ronan and the scene fades to black. |
