The scene opens in a corridor of the All State Arena, Sabre is walking along minding his own business and thinking aloud.
Sabre: It's not long now, not long until I get in the ring with Copeland, take him to the cleaners and pick up yet another victory. It will be another glorious chapter in my OCW history.
Sabre walks along a little bit more, he goes past Madness Commentator Frank Edwards, Frank is currently getting a drink from a vending machine. Sabre starts to speed up hoping that Frank won't notice him and therefore probably ask him some inane questions, but alas Frank spots him out of the corner of his eye, he immediately leaves the vending machine without getting his can of diet Lilt.
Frank Edwards: Hi Sabre can I have a few words before you run off. I haven't been able to do an interview for so long because no one seems to want me to interview them any more so could I possibly ask you a few questions.
Sabre: Well you can ask a couple Frank but you must be quick because I've got a strategy meeting in a few minutes.
Frank Edwards: Well strategy was the main thing I wanted to ask you about. Just how do you plan to beat your opponent this week Seth Copeland.
Sabre: Obviously Frank I can't go into specifics at this time, because I don't want Copeland to know my exact game plan. Against some opponents though I won't name names but most people know who I mean, I could send them a sheet of paper saying exactly what moves I was going to do and when I was going to do them and I would still win because those opponents are so far below me that even that amount of prior knowledge would do them no good. Copeland though isn't as bad as that, obviously he's no where near good enough to beat me, but his ability does mean that I have to prepare for my match properly and come up with a sound strategy. For this upcoming match I think my basic strategy will be to out wrestle Copeland. It would seem that over the last few days Copeland and I have exchanged a few words over each other's technical merits so I think it is only right that we do see who is actually the better man in this department. Of course if this match goes down in this way then I will win because we all know I am a far superior technical wrestler to Copeland. But at this time Frank that is all I am going to say on strategy, I'm not going to tell you which body parts I plan to take out or which moves I might try to use. Those are the kind of things I have to keep away from Copeland;s spies.
Frank Edwards: Well that seems like a sound enough strategy. But what if Copeland is a better technical wrestler than you planned for.
Sabre: Frank I've done a lot of scouting on the man, I watched a lot of tapes and checked out training reports and I can tell you now I know exactly how good he is. I know from all that scouting that his level is below mine. I think over the last two months we have seen Copeland at his best, I don't think he has been holding anything back to use on a special occasion so therefore he will spring no surprises on me and I will go on to pick up another victory.
Frank Edwards: If you do manage to beat Copeland do you think he will a good name to be on your résumé?
Sabre: What do you mean if I beat Copeland. Don't you mean when I beat Copeland because I will beat him and beat him convincingly and when I do beat him I suppose it will be an okay scalp to take. It won't be the biggest feather in my cap but I suppose it is something to be fairly proud of. The man does have some talent after all. Just not enough to avoid a big time sabreizing. Right that's enough about Copeland let's talk about you Frank, you doubted me, and if there is one thing I can't stand from a reporter it is doubt therefore this interview is over. BYE!
Sabre walks away from Frank and the scene fades to black. |
