| After months of discussion and careful consideration, the board members of the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network of Greater Sacramento (GLSEN GSAC) have decided to disassociate from GLSEN National. We have created our own local non-profit organization called Respect Sacramento. We do so in order to continue to work as a grassroots organization, able to respond to local concerns with the kind of creativity and flexibility that autonomy allows. We wish all the best to GLSEN National and all the GLSEN chapters across the nation, and we look forward to working with them in the future.
