Life Dramas
By Joanne Simoneit

The quote from Shakespeare's "As You Like It" is my inspiration for this article. "All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players. They have their exits and their entrances; And one man in his time plays many parts".

You have a drama going on in your life and so do I. Don't we just LOVE our dramas? After all, isn't that the reason we came here in the first place? To do some acting and have the experience of playing many parts? Wife, husband, parent, boss, worker, child, lover, friend, victim, controller, the nice guy, the bad girl.....the list goes on and on. So many parts! So what's yours right now? Are you really involved in the acting? Caught up in it, so to speak? Where the actor/ actress becomes the role they're playing? Can't tell the fantasy from the Real You?

I've been there and done that! Took the role so seriously. Became the part. Became the housewife; became the sales rep; became all caught up in the role. Didn't know the part in the play from the Real Me! Trying to be "good" instead of "bad". Trying to be "rich" instead of "poor". Trying to be "thin" instead of "fat". Trying, trying, trying.....and that's what it became.....a little trying! So, after a long time of soul searching about what the heck was going on, I decided to step back and just watch. That takes a bit of awareness, you know, just to watch the stuff that's going on in your life. Takes a bit of detachment, too. But that's what I did. And you know what? It's so much more fun! Just watching what goes on. Not taking things so seriously.

OK, you might ask, how do I find the Real Me? How do I step back and watch?

It's an on going process and it sounds easy, but it does take effort and awareness. It is an effort to try to be nonjudgmental of yourself and others. It's an effort to try and let go of old stuff from the past. It's an effort to be accepting of all others and all situations, and it's an effort to unconditionally love yourself and all others, but given time and practice, practice, practice, it can be done. The Real You will begin to emerge slowly at first and pretty soon, it will be like living in your birthday suit! Not a costume to wear that's too tight and doesn't fit right! Or too baggy and doesn't fit right! Just the Real You for all to see. And then you start seeing the drama everywhere! And you watch...it's like turning on "Days of Our Lives" and watching all the actors and actresses playing their roles.

And you begin to realize that your life is what you make of it. That it's a matter of choices...plain and simple. You still have your feelings, but you don't react to them. You choose to feel them, look at them and then make a choice on how you will deal with those feelings. You don't get caught up in the drama of life anymore, unless you do....but then you know you're in the role by choice and things aren't quite so dramatic as they seemed before! Because you can always choose again!

I know what you're going to say now....what about those who seem to have no choice? Those who were born handicapped in some way....or in a life changing accident....or even those who have died through no fault of their own? They can't change the role they're playing! My belief is this: Those who seem to have no choice chose their roles before they were born to the planet Earth. They decided then that they would stay in the role until the play was over. They came here for the benefit of those whose lives they touched. To help those actors and actresses to find out who they Really Are. To give them the opportunity to love unconditionally, to accept what is, or to let go of old stuff. They are the heroes of the play.

So join me, won't you, in watching the everyday dramas of life going on all around. Step back and enjoy the show....for that is what life is really all about! To experience the enjoyment and the love. When friends and family start to think you've become a little strange, clue them in! Spread the word. Tell them you're through being in dramas for awhile....that you're just watching. Or maybe it's time to go to another theater and act in a light hearted comedy!

Are Past Vows Affecting Your Current Life?
By Anne Brewer

The Polynesian Kahunas believe we consist of three components, the low, middle, and high self. You know them as the subconscious, conscious, and superconscious. Each of these elements have specific responsibilities and, sometimes, the agendas conflict with each other.

One of the responsibilities of the subconscious is to retain memories, both from this and prior lives. Sometimes we make commitments in past lives, and those commitments are inaccessible consciously. Yet the subconscious remembers. We may have been a nun and taken a chastity vow. This might result in intimacy issues in our current life because the subconscious upholds the vows while the conscious desires partnership. Or we may have vowed never to speak our truth as we are tortured during the Inquisition. This may cause stage fright in this life time. Other common vows include separation, poverty, silence, retribution, suffering, obedience, and sacrifice.

Although vows might be pertinent to past experiences, they probably are not currently applicable. But the subconscious memory supports the vows which, naturally, causes conflict. You might wonder why our "all-knowing" superconscious does not intervene. The superconscious is our "parent" that is bound by the law of free choice. It cannot intervene unless we ask. Like any parent, it helps us learn by allowing us to experience the outcomes of our actions. Once we attain awareness and ask for intervention, the superconscious can assist. When asking the superconscious for assistance, it is necessary to offer vital force in conjunction with our request. The superconscious is located outside our body, and it needs energy to help on the physical plane.

Ensure you are free of past life vows by releasing them. Here is a simple technique for removing vows:
Enjoy the freedom you feel as you unload baggage you no longer need to carry!

The Invalidation of Religion
By anuk-yin

Despite the best intentions, attempts to organize spirituality almost always fall back upon themselves, masking the spirit and occasionally even flipping over to become the embodiment of whatever they oppose.

By their nature, spiritual organizations are superfluous. THEY SEEK TO DO WHAT IS ALREADY DONE. A successful church is transitional, a stepping-stone toward consciousness, not ‘a rock’ upon which to duplicate the mistakes of the past.

To orient your life around a structure of some other human being’s understanding is to “worship a false god”. It is to lock yourself into a framework of someone else’s prejudices, however well intentioned. It is to prefer the past-oriented knowledge of another to your own present-moment perception. It is to doubt both yourself and the Creator, who would, if you permit, awaken within you.

Those who orient their lives around human organizations are left with little happiness and less satisfaction. They are like mice on a treadmill of self-validating and self-defeating beliefs. Until they choose to step off the treadmill, there is little we can do to reach them. For they alone have the right to determine how they will understand themselves and their world, and they have the freedom to maintain the world they have chosen, however limiting.

We cannot compel change onto another. No lasting change is ever created from without. Let your understanding be your own, no longer polluted with what you have been told or what you have perceived as another’s truth.

Still Carrying Stuff Around?
By Dekora

As more and more of us are working toward ascension and becoming loving light beings, creating a world of peace and harmony, it is becoming more apparent that it's time to let go of all the fear-based beliefs, emotions, experiences that we are holding on to, in order to move into a life of unconditional love and acceptance for all beings.

It's not always easy! Some of us are holding on with a ferocity to those past hurts, angers, negative experiences and judgments - we think that it is easier to hold on than to let go, because we are afraid of what we might find if we let go. So many of us have defined our identity around these hurts and experiences - who will we be if we let go of it?

Why not anything you want to be???

Getting back to these hurts, experiences etc... one of my favourite healers, Louise Hay, approaches healing from the perspective that all illness in the body is first initiated on the etheric plane due to negative thought patterns. She provides in her book Heal Your Body the physical symptoms/illness, along with the mental causes of the illness. She also provides the metaphysical affirmations that you can use in your healing to overcome these illnesses.

If you have been having bouts with some of the following symptoms or dis-ease, you might be holding on to fear, anger, negative experiences, and other things that would be better off being sent into the void. Know that if you are willing to let go of what is ailing you, the Universe will support you. It is actually easier to let go, than to hold on to all of this stuff. So release! Let go! Be at peace.

Experience is Everything: Part Two - Judgment Is Only Counter-Productive
By Silver Phoenix

continued from last issue

In the last article I explained why we came to this dimension, to this planet, to wherever you are right now, reading this. We all came here to experience. We all came here to know what this was like, what that was like. It was the only way for us to learn and gain the widsom that we needed to make decisions.

I also explained that some of us are still in this need to experience, all wrapped up in our existence. Others of us are putting things together, having finally experienced enough or almost enough, and we're ready to move on to the next step.

In this article I will explain what it really means to experience. Some of us have forgotten the simplicity of it all. We look for meanings beyond the obvious. We judge things. The question is, what justification do we have for making those judgements?

You see, we are here for one simple reason. To experience. Sure, we like to experience the 'good' things. We like to avoid experiencing the 'bad' things. However, what makes something 'good' or 'bad'? Where is that mystical line drawn? The answer is simply, in your head, and it is something which only hinders us from learning.

If we are here to experience, to gain knowledge and wisdom from understanding every possible point of view, then we have to have seen through the eyes of that point of view. How can we understand rape if we have never been raped ourselves? How can we understand rape if we have never been the rapist? How can we understand rape if we have never been the helpful hand which aids the victim? How can we understand rape if we have never been the parent who conveniently looks the other way while it is happening?

To experience, we have to truly experience. We cannot just go through the experience one time only, because then we only have one point of view. Over the span of many lives, we should experience a situation in a variety of ways if we wish to truly understand it.

So then, if we should experience all of those different points of view on the same situation, then who are we to judge what is good and what is bad? Bad would be if no one on this planet was willing to help make the experience happen. Look at how many points of view a single act has. Would it have had the same meaning had one person decided not to act because it was 'wrong'? Would it have had the same meaning had one person been unable to act because someone else kept them from acting?

We gain an understanding only when each player is willing to take their part in a scene, acting out their own individual part in the grand drama. Only then does everyone involved actually gain that much needed experience. If one person is unwilling or unable to participate, the whole experience can be ruined.

So who are we to judge what is 'good' and what is 'bad'? We need all of the players acting out their parts in order to properly experience. Sometimes this means that we must do something 'bad'. Sometimes this means that 'bad' things must be done to us. Sometimes this means simply letting people hurt themselves or learn the hard way. 'Bad' is acting in a manner that keeps a needed experience from happening. 'Good' is allowing or even helping all of the players in that experience to get the most out of that experience that they can, and to then help them learn from that, and then get past it and move on to the next experience.

So the next time something 'bad' happens in your life, don't take it personal. Instead ask yourself what you can learn from it. You just may be amazed at how much of a difference it can make.

In my garden there is a large place for sentiment. My garden of flowers is also my garden of thoughts and dreams. The thoughts grow as freely as the flowers, and the dreams are as beautiful. ~Abram L. Urban

My garden is my little piece of Heaven on earth. It's my place to forget about the busy-ness of everyday life and also serves as my pick me up when I am feeling stuck. I plant the seeds and at the same time I plant my thoughts. I nurture them and then watch them come to life, my life. My flowers offer me peace, love, and beauty. Just taking time out to water them releases tension and anxiety that can build throughout my day. No matter how big or how small the space, there is peace, beauty, and growth for all who find that a garden is their heaven on earth.

Take thy plastic spade,
It is thy pencil; take thy seeds, thy plants,
They are thy colours.
~William Mason, The English Garden, 1782

A garden offers one more than just beauty; it is a magnet that draws out your inner most thoughts. It is natural balancing tool that is free for all to use in life. For the mind who can't find a minutes rest; it quiets. It's an inspiration pathway to those who find themselves blocked. It opens a passageway to write and think quietly. Its beauty and aroma release mind tingling waves of inspiration. Just being in your garden inspirits the mind and soul.

He who cultivates a garden, and brings to perfection flowers and fruits cultivates and advances at the same time his own nature." - Ezra Weston, 1845

Your garden is your get away from it all place. It is one more pathway to your soul. It brings tranquility and oneness with the self's spirituality. It gives back lovingly all that you put into it. Your garden is a natural mirror of what is going on in your world. It reflects who you are. Nurturing your garden nurtures you. Nature brings wisdom through gardens. Fairies are nature's angels forever presenting themselves to us by offering the beauty and tranquility of a garden.

The garden is a metaphor for life, and gardening is a symbol of the spiritual path. - Larry Dossey, 1997

Plant your garden of inspiration; make it nature's window to your soul. Experience the tranquility of gardening by feeling the intimate connection it creates with you and mother earth. Add some color, aroma, and heartfelt peace in a little corner of your world. Beautify your life and all those around you. Plant your dreams and watch them grow.

The Greatest Gift of Love
By Sandy Stevenson

continued from issue one...

YOU GET A CHOICE.

The hard way to live is to continue to ignore your reactions. This rejects the spiritual understanding that we create all the circumstances in our life for our highest good. You can go on blaming everyone else for the grief they are causing you and play at being a victim of life. You can go on focusing on the apparent external circumstance, trying to decide how you should go about handling that situation/person, etc. You can create bigger and bigger upsets in your life until things get so drastic they can no longer be ignored. Incidentally, at this point it also starts to impact as physical problems and illness upon the body.

Or you can handle it the easy way. This would be simply noting your reaction and releasing it - whereupon you STOP attracting the type of incident designed to trigger this reaction in you. When your reaction is no longer there, you don’t need to attract more incidents to show it. When the reaction is gone, the universe will change the events in your life to accommodate your new state of being.

Having cleared a reaction or thought pattern, you will then attract a new set of circumstances to show you another emotion you have buried. You will go on doing this with every buried thought and emotion you have, until you are completely in balance and can maintain a place of inner calm and peace without getting upset.

It is not wise to deny or suppress your emotions. Nor do you need to make any judgements about them or yourself. There is nothing wrong with emotions. They are OK and you are OK. It is just that at this particular time, it is better for you to release emotions that throw you off balance. In other words, release the emotions that throw you into a space of conditional love rather than unconditional love. Conditional love is the type of love where we say we will only love someone if they behave in a way we feel is acceptable. Unconditional love is when we just love someone, no matter their behaviour, colour, religion, beliefs, etc.

This is truth. No matter the level of horrific trauma you are sitting in right now, start afresh with this new view. Do nothing else initially than go within and handle your own stuff. This is the correct handling. Concentrate on letting go of your own reactions. That is why the situation has occurred. It may not always be something happening to you personally. Many different scenarios are created to help us see our reactions. You may read something in a book or magazine, or have a reaction to a movie, or perhaps you hear news of something happening to someone else or in another country. There is no difference. The reason you saw that movie or heard about that thing is because you attracted it.

Do not put your attention on the details and the significance of the situation itself. Do not worry about what reactions the other people involved need to let go of. We can often avoid looking at ourselves by putting our attention on what we think other people need to handle within themselves. We somehow try to make ourselves right by pointing out what they need to handle. Yes, they may need to let go of reactions also, but this is not your problem at this stage. The idea is to just take responsibility for yourself and the fact you created this to help you become wiser, more loving and more balanced.

When your reaction is gone, you will regain your inner peace concerning this area. Then the situation that caused it can and will change. Although there may be completely different types of events occurring that seem unrelated, if you examine your reaction to them, you will find an identical reaction. You are just being given different ways to see it. The significance of the event is not important. Whether you have attracted poverty, a partnership break up, are involved in family arguments, the house burning down or a court case, you still just handle your reactions.

"The art of painting to me is more than a career; it is an all-consuming obsession and a love of colour and form. In fact, if I am away from my easel for too long, I become restless and anxious to paint again. Since the age of four, I have always known that there is nothing else that I wanted to do. I have so many images in my mind that it is a race against time to produce them all. Partly because of this sense of urgency, I moved from the more traditional oil medium to acrylics, which allow me to paint more quickly and to create many different textured and colourful effects.
"Throughout my career, I have always sought to produce images which are not only pleasing to the eye, but also have either a message or a thought-provoking statement within. Hence, many of my paintings contain scenes from nature, the preservation of which is a subject close to my heart. It is also important to me that purchasers of my work do not become bored with the image, which is why I like to paint in such detail and nearly always hide creatures, faces and other items within the painting, thus, hopefully, providing years of enjoyment. As people have become used to my style of work, they often find things that are not intentionally there.
"My paintings, though mainly fantasies, are based on close observation and sketching from nature. I have been influenced and inspired by the illustrative talents of Arthur Rackham, the surrealism of artists such as Magritte, and the romanticism of the pre-Raphaelites which, combined with my own imaginative ideas, have led to a wide and varied range of work.
"I always feel that I can improve and so constantly seek new techniques and strive to produce the perfect painting - one day!!" - Josephine Wall.

Thought For The Moment
Heaven & Hell

Heaven and Hell exist on Earth, not somewhere else. Both are created by our understanding and shape our experience accordingly. Hell on Earth is the understanding that I am a separate individual, my thoughts are reality, and I must defend myself at all times. This makes the Earth experience harsh, chaotic, fearful, angry, lonely. Heaven on Earth is the understanding that a single, supremely free and creative Consciousness pervades every atom of the cosmos, and I am that Consciousness. This makes the Earth experience simple, joyful, peaceful, abundant. Heaven on Earth is a constant celebration of, by, and for Consciousness, whose nature is freedom, clarity, and joy.

The Power of Twelve: A New Approach to Personal Empowerment

By Anne Brewer

People become intrigued and inspired when they read how Anne Brewer received 12 strands of DNA and reached a higher level of evolutionary potential, as described in her book The Power of Twelve, A New Approach to Personal Empowerment. In April, 1996, Anne, a corporate consultant was contacted and told of the real possiblity of ascension for humankind and the ability to function as Spirit in physical form. To her amazement, Anne received this information telepathically from a group of friendly, non-physical beings sent to help raise the consciousness of Earth. They taught her a 5 phase process called DNA Recoding that includes holistic balancing modalities to assist with the adaptation of 10 additional strands of energetic DNA. The interdimensionals then asked Anne to each DNA Recoding to other human beings to raise their consciousness and shift participants to a higher evolutionary level.

This process empowered Anne in the following ways:

Within two years after completing the DNA Recoding, Anne:

Learn about the importance of 12 strands and how to expand your consciousness and personal power!

Reviewer: Catherine Gallanti from San Diego, CA United States
Anne Brewer's book is a very good guiding manual and detailed account of what the awakening process that many of us are going through is all about and HOW it comes about. The book offers one of many ways of activating the 10 dormant strands of DNA, describing the process of becoming a twelve stranded and fully empowered human. Although Anne's particular method does not resonate with me at this time, having already been where she is leading, I did enjoy reading and comparing notes with another's experience in the unchartered territory that many of us are sailing through in our quest to wholeness and towards reclaiming all of who we are. Definitely a worthwhile read!

Tim Miejan, Editor of The Edge newspaper
"The Power of Twelve is a resounding statement on the re-establishment of love on our planet. While most of us are content to wait around for something to happen, Anne Brewer is clearly not the waiting type. The Power of Twelve is a process that we cannot afford to dismiss if our true aim is to be all we can be."

Monthly Australian Animal Wisdom
Lyrebird

By Dekora

Have you been wallowing in self-doubt lately dear one? Lyrebird wants you to know that it's time to step out of the doubt and embrace who you truly are - totally and completely - with unconditional love. It doesn't matter what others think of you, just that you love and accept yourself, because your opinion is the only one that matters.

Look at how you have been living your life. Have your actions been to please others rather than yourself? Have you been imitating someone else's point of view to fit in? Well it's time to stop! You have your own point of view, your own thoughts and opinions. It is time for you to learn to trust your own voice and speak your own truth.

It's time to walk your walk, and talk your talk.

Lyrebird spends all his time mimicing others - he is afraid to be his true self, so he copies everyone else in the hopes that he can blend in and not be noticed. Why? Because he is afraid that he will not be accepted by others if he lives according to his own truth - he is scared. Don't be afraid. It's more important to be yourself, than to live your life according to what others expect of you.

And there are other people out there like you! You are not alone, all of us are taking steps to embrace who we truly are - instead of what society tells us we should be. Seek out those people who love and accept you for who you are, and love yourself! It's time to be yourself.

What's your message this month for your sign?

Aries (March 21 - April 19) : The Angel of Forgiveness
What are you holding on to that has reached the point of pain? It's time to let go! Forgive whatever you are angry at right now, let go of the resentment, and feel your soul be healed. It's time to stop carrying this stuff around.

It might come in the form of a coincidence somewhere, or unexpected actions on someone else's part, as guidance is like that. So keep your eyes and ears open and listen to what is being said to you this month. If you have asked for a sign, it'll come this month.
Gemini (May 21 - June 20) : The Angel of Divine Guidance

Sagittarius (Nov. 22 - Dec. 21) : The Angel of Miracles
Miracles are occurring all around you at the moment, if you awaken yourself to them and pay attention, more will occur. Cancer (June 21 - July 22) : The Angel of Blessings
You are received help from the angels right now - keep asking for it if it is needed, and then be open to the answers when they come. Perhaps you are going through a hard time at the moment, it will pass, call on the angels for their assistance - they are not gone even if they feel far away right now.
Capricorn (Dec. 22 - Jan. 19) : Angel of Harmony
If there is a situation that's been bothering, it's going to be resolved this month. Know that you deserve a little peace and harmony right now, and be grateful for it. Rise above conflict this month and see it for what it really is - drama you don't need. Accept it and release it - allow harmony into your life.
Leo (July 23 - August 22) : The Angel of Abundance
Abundance is on it's way! Have faith in the universe that your needs are being supported. Ask for what you truly need and it will be provided. Keep your faith, as it will ensure a steady flow of support materially, psychologically, emotionally and spiritually right now. Accept abundance in all areas, into your life.
Aquarius (Jan. 20 - Feb. 18) : Angel of Music
Immerse yourself in beautiful music this month. Music lifts the spirit and brings you in touch with Divine Love. Add more music to your lift - listen to soft background music while you dress, work and play. Whistle and song as you go about your day.
Virgo (August 23 - Sept. 22) : Your Guardian Angel
Your guardian angels are wanting you to know that they love you unconditionally and all-encompassing. They are with you right now, whatever you are doing and they want you to know that they are watching over you and they are helping you work through your difficulties, and multiplying the joy.
Pisces (Feb. 19 - March 20) : The Angel of Divine Timing
Synchronisity is the word for this month. Pay attention to what is going on around you, the people you are meeting, the messages you are receiving for they are not by accident! Things are happening, but they aren't going to all happen at once, there are certain things that have to fall into place first - be patient.
