NOVEMBER 2002

Letter from the Editor
By Dekora

Namaste!

First I want to start by thanking all our returning readers, and welcoming our new readers, I hope you all walk away from this newsletter with a little more love, peace and learning in your hearts. Not surprisingly November's theme will be on the topic of thanks giving. To me it is very important to give thanks and gratitude for all that we come into touch with throughout life - both good and the bad. I will be addressing this a little more in the article I wrote entitled "Giving Thanks for What Hurts the Most".

We also have a bunch of other impressive articles, not everything is about thanks giving, I like to mix things up a little on occasion. Some of the articles I think tie in well with the theme just the same. I'd like to encourage everyone to check out the links after all the articles to the respective authors' websites. There is always a wealth of information to be found at these sites and much learning to be experienced!

Most important of all is that this is a time of going within in the Northern Hemisphere. The leaves are falling, the days getting shorter, and the weather colder. Soon we will be right in the middle of Winter and this is a great time for some introspection. Curl up inside in the warmth and read a good book, nurture the child within with hot chocolate and cookies, take some time to meditate and acknowledge the different things you have learned this year.

I'd like to draw everyone's attention to the links section at the end of the newsletter, there is one link to The Hunger Site which is a fabulous non-profit organisation dedicated to feeding the hungry, saving our rainforests, rescuing abused and unwanted animals, getting free mammograms for women, and helping children get the medical care they need. The site is sponsored by a number of organisations, and YOU can help just by clicking on a link each and every day! Read all about it at the website, you can also start by clicking on the button just below.

Bright Blessings to all,
and have a great Thanksgiving!

Giving Thanks for What Hurts the Most
By Dekora

We all know the importance of being grateful for the good that comes into our lives. Being grateful for these things makes openings for them to continue coming into our lives. It also recognises that we are not alone in our creations and that we are thankful for the other gods, entities, spirits, guides that help us out in day to day activities. It is also acknowledging that we are co-creators with Spirit, and in a way we thank ourselves for bringing good in.

But what about the so-called bad?

We never think to give thanks for that because it is a negative experience and we dislike it. Yet these situations bring more learning into our lives than any of the good. They give us a chance to face a challenge and overcome it. Without the negative we would be unable to see the good when it comes in, and we would thus be unable to give thanks for that too! There is one thing that many people, especially those entrenched in good, are unable to admit.

They are as much co-creators of the negative in their lives, as they are for the positive.

We don't want to admit this however, because then we would have to acknowledge the fact that we have somehow called into our experience a negative situation. And who wants that? It is important to acknowledge and give thanks for all these negative experiences as well as the good. There is always a lesson to be experienced, and by thanking it for coming into our lives, we can open up to the lesson and learn something from it. We become the student and the experience is the teacher.

Accepting the darkness in our lives is as important as welcoming the light. Without the darkness we would be unable to see anything. Shine a light into a room of light and you see nothing without darkness to illuminate the shadow and contours of it's contents. It is a necessary partner to all creation, and without it all experience would be the same, boring, day in day out experience. We would have nothing to give thanks for because nothing would have value to it, as there is nothing to compare it with.

So what I am saying, is be thankful for ALL experience. As it is all valid and valuable.

When we hurt, we are challenged to find out what is wrong, what we can do to make it not hurt. We learn a lot about ourselves during this time. Sometimes we have to hit rock bottom to discover what is important to us. We can then take this experience with us, and apply it to the future. It is time to embrace the shadow, and thank it for teaching us to be thankful for the good when it comes into our lives. If we deny the shadow it will show up regardless, only more powerfully to get it's point across.

Be thankful for it all.

What Happens When You Let Go?
By Sandy Stevenson

We hear the expressions ‘Go with the flow’, ‘Let go and let God’ and ‘Surrender to Spirit’. What is it that we are supposed to be letting go of and to whom? What does it mean and where do we start? Words like God and Spirit mean different things to different people. Perhaps we agree that it is a concept of creation or consciousness, a Divine flow or the natural order of things. We probably think all our problems could be solved if we could just win the lottery. But perhaps, what we really want from life is more along the lines of loving and caring relationships, joy, fun, happiness and harmony, where we feel we are being useful. How do we ensure that we achieve that?

First of all, you have to want to change. If you feel that life is a bit humdrum, a treadmill and you are getting worn out trying to control each part of it (otherwise it is bound to fall apart!) with the odd distraction that gives pleasure - are you ready to change? By following your intuition and ‘going with the flow,’ life can change for the better.

OK. We are ready. A new life is afoot. Where do we start?

As the wise old sages say ‘out of stillness comes wisdom,’ so first of all we need to stop our thoughts distracting us. I am sure we’ve all had those sleepless nights, with a never ending stream of thoughts going around in our head. We need to apply some sort of discipline to put us back in control of our own thoughts, so that we are controlling them and they are not controlling us.

Begin by finding some time in each day, even if it's just 10 minutes, that is just for you. A quiet place in the garden is ideal. A time to relax and be still, where your attention will not be dragged onto something or someone.

Sit quietly and as each thought pops into your head, quietly and firmly say no and don’t pay it any attention. Don’t bury the thoughts, but let them float up and pass by like feathers on a gentle breeze, letting them go. Release, release, release. Keep doing this for at least 10 minutes each day, for however long it takes, until you have achieved a permanently quiet mind. A silent mind, allows you to get in touch with your intuitive side. You are trying to live from your spiritual nature and not from the dictates of your mind.

Check every now and again during the day and ask yourself ‘Am I in my head or my heart’? That means ‘am I doing what the mind is telling me I should or must do or am I listening to my intuition, and doing what interests and feels right to me? If you find you are doing something that doesn’t interest or excite you, stop and listen again to your inner voice. In each minute, you will find there is always one thing that is more right for you to do than anything else.

Following this feeling of rightness is called ‘being in the flow and Divine order’. When you live your life in this way, the weight of the world is removed from your shoulders and any struggle or suffering is replaced by joy, happiness, love and excitement.

It may not be achieved in an instant, but with a bit of determination and really listening to your inner voice, each moment will become a minute and then an hour and a day. Soon you will be experiencing a new life in all its magnificence and beauty.

You have ‘let go’ and now ‘miracles can happen’.

Reclaiming Your Sacred Energy
By Daeryl Lewis

Whenever we come in contact with another person, whether it be for a brief moment, or in an intimate relationship, there is the potential to form an energy cord between the two. These cords serve the purpose of maintaining a strong connection when out of physical contact, as with friends, lovers or parents to children. But, there are also cords which are not healthy or appropriate, and may drain our energy or confuse our thoughts. Often, cords are connected to us without our consent, or received unconsciously. So, from time to time, it is helpful to check yourself, at your various energy centers, in order to determine what cords may be there, to decide if you wish them to be, and to adjust or remove them as necessary.

Go through each center starting at the crown, and ending at the base. Tune in to that area and see the energy with your eyes closed. What color is it? What shape is it? Do you see anyone's face? Do any people, emotions or events come into your mind? Trust that who and what you see is real. Focus on the person, and notice if it feels good and supportive to have them there or not. If you feel uncomfortable or disturbed, it is probably best to remove the cord. If you know you want to maintain an energy connection to the person, but it feels weak or not as good as it could, you can make changes to heal the cord.

Each energy center has a specific function and cords will be related to that type of energy. The following is a list of each center, it's focus, healthy color, and specific information about cords to that center.

7th - Crown Center (Above the head)
Psychic Center, Connection to Spirit / Gold, White, Rainbow
This center is your connection to your higher self, to your spirit guides and to divine spirit. Cords here are powerful, resulting in intimate and psychic connections. Be very selective here, as it possible to subconsciously or astrally (during sleep) influence, or be influenced by, another through a cord at this center. Also, this center links into all the other centers, and can connect two people on many levels.
6th - Mind Center (Forehead/Third Eye)
Mental Images, Communication / Purple
This is an important place to maintain cords to important people in your life, as it aids in your ability to receive and relate to each other's thoughts and messages. However, it is also very easy to inadvertently form cords here, during any type of conversation. Even when there is little emotional involvement, the energy of another can feel "stuck" to you here, long after they are no longer around you, often taking the form of a headache or confused thinking. When you feel foggy-headed or that your thoughts are not your own, check for cords to this center.
5th - Vocal Center (Throat)
Self-Expression, Ability to Speak, Authority / Blue
This center is very often blocked, especially in women, and cords here are usually not helpful. When there are unhealthy cords here, the result is a feeling of not being able to express yourself, being afraid to speak your truth, etc. There can also be a feeling of being choked or suffocated. Often these cords are attached and carried over from early childhood and past lives of being punished for speaking out or expressing your power.
4th - Heart Center (Chest)
Ability to give and receive love / Green
Here is where we form cords for close emotional bonds to those we love. Cords here can be used to send and receive love. Strengthening or healing these cords can greatly improve relationships which have become estranged or where the connection has moved too much to the head. Often, heart cords need to be removed to clear emotional influence from those you no longer wish to be connected to. "Pulling on my heart strings" is a common expression describing the effects of a heart cord which is not mutually clear or free flowing.
3rd - Power Center (Solar Plexus)
Personal Power, Life Force Energy / Yellow
This center holds your vital life force energy and personal power. It is not healthy, (except in life threatening situations), to have cords here, or to rely on the energy of another. Each person is responsible for their own soul essence energy. Cords that are attached here have the potential to drain you of your strength and power, and should be removed.
2nd - Emotional Center (Belly)
Storage of Feelings, Life Memories and Patterns / Orange
Through this center, you have access to life memories of old emotional traumas. If you trust someone completely with unconditional love, such as in a parent/child or healer/patient relationship, temporary cords serve to connect you for support and nurturing on deep healing levels. But most often, it is not healthy to have cords here, especially in the case of past lovers, or adult children to parents. This is where you are vulnerable, emotionally, to old patterns and connections with people from your past. Removing cords here can free you from the ties that enable a person to 'push your emotional buttons'.
1st - Root Center (Base of Spine & Pubic Area)
Sexual Energy, Survival / Red
This center is the most primal of centers. It holds the root of your instincts, passions, and psychic creativity. Before agreeing to an energy cord at this center, it is important that there also be connections at the heart and mind centers (4th & 6th), and that there be a deep level of respect and trust. Cords here can be used to access any of the other centers, and unhealthy cords can manifest as physical illness, drained energy, or mental or emotional confusion.

The most important tools you have are the intention of
your thoughts and the power of your will.

How to disconnect inappropriate and unwanted cords:

There are two steps to removing cords. First, visualize the cord in your mind. See it. Feel it connecting to your energy center. Then, place your hands as if you are actually holding onto this invisible cord right at the place it connects to your body. Grip it firmly, visualizing that you are about to "unplug" it, like an electric cord. Then, with strength, and purpose, pull it out and state firmly, "I now remove this energy cord to (name of person), and return it to it's source." Feel it releasing from your body as you throw it back to them.

The second step is to heal and protect the place where it was attached. Rub your hands together, creating a vibrational energy. Then, like a bandage, place your palms over the place where the cord was attached to your energy center. Feel the warmth soothing and healing, and state, "I now heal this center and I am protected from all unwanted cords." Direct your words towards the person who you were corded to and state, "You can never tap into me here again. My mind (or heart, or power, etc.) is my own."

Remember that the more passion, focus and intention you use, the more powerful the effects. Some cords will be easily removed, while others will be more stubborn, especially those that have been there for a long time or those attached to particularly willful people and may take several attempts before they are entirely gone. Also, it is common to have cords reattach, especially those to which you are unconsciously accustomed. Be aware that when you remove a cord to someone, they may contact you, possibly feeling that something is 'wrong', or creating a situation to reestablish a connection. It is wise to recheck your energy centers often, to make sure that you are still clear.

How to heal unhealthy, weak cords and create filters:
Often you will discover cords to your energy centers which you wish to keep, but that need some healing. But it is first very important to be sure that you have permission to be corded to that person, in that way. The most common is a heart cord which has become weak or shriveled up due to lack of use. Strengthening the cord is a powerful way to help heal the emotional connection to someone you love. It is also effective for reestablishing clear communication through the mind centers.

First, picture the cord in your mind's eye. See it. Discover in what way it is not healthy. Is it broken or torn in places? Is it shrunken, or blocked by something? Whatever you find, trust your insights and feelings. Then, visualize repairing it. Patch up any holes, see them sealing up. Clear out any blocks with the image of the blast of a hose. Send life-giving energy into and through any shrunken spots, seeing it grow. Do this until you see the cord as being full and strong, vibrant and pulsing with energy.

There are times when you don't want to disconnect a cord completely, but you wish to control the type of energy that comes to you, or that you send. In this case, visualize a filter at the place where the cords attaches to your body and state the intention that only clear, positive energy can pass through. Modify this intention depending on the energy center and the goal of that specific filter.

Quan-Yin Channelings
By Silver Phoenix

Continued from last month

Message 5: Orgasm = Energy Work:

I briefly touched upon this in Message 1, but I wanted to expand upon this because Quan-Yin expressed this explicitely to me at one point, and I thought that I would do the same for you. Energy work comes in many forms, but one oft-neglected form is simply the art of orgasm.
It sounds funny, but it is true. It is a collection and concentration of energies. What we do with them can, of course, vary. However, most of us have lost touch with this so badly that many times we simply waste this energy, and other times we have even been known to harm ourselves with it. If we do not utilize it well, we can hold on to it, creating a blockage. If we give it to others without a specific purpose, we can leave it up to them what to do with it, and if they don't know any better, than they might hold onto it, creating a blockage in themselves.
What does an ascended being know about orgasm? A lot more than you might think actually. Spirits, not having physical bodies in this dimension, may not always be capable of expressing sexuality as we know it. However, even they understand the simple pleasure of an orgasm. Even from just a pure energy standpoint, they can know how to help build one in themself, or in another. It need not even be in a 'sexual' way, but merely as an act of working with energy.
We as humans though have put a very sexual spin on this simple act of pleasure. Yet in the process, we forgot just what it was for. It literally is nothing more than a concentration of energies, and as such, is meant to be released or used in some way. The most basic and yet useful (to us) method though, is as a Chakra cleanser.
Our primary sexual organs, and as such our Sacral Chakra, is in our abdomen. It is our center for joy. When this Chakra is fully functional, we connect easily to the simple things in life that make us happy. This is a very important Chakra to keep open then, because it is a part of what keeps us connected to the universe. When we are positive, our energy is positive, and our outlook is positive as well.
Very close by is the Base Chakra. This is our connection to the energy of life, the energy of the Earth. It keeps us going, it keeps us strong. When this Chakra is in need of cleansing, we feel tired and even sometimes helpless. We feel disconnected from our life here.
Also close by are the Solar Plexus and Heart Chakras. These help us deal with our emotions and with other people. For lightworkers, it is also important to keep these balanced, cleansed, and most importantly: open.
Isn't it convenient then that our orgasm builds up in our Sacral Chakra? It allows us to send this concentration of energy outwards, cleansing and opening in both directions to the Base Chakra and to the Solar Plexus and Heart Chakras. If our Chakras are kept well-cleansed and open, we can even release this energy to cleanse our other Chakras as well.
However, holding on to this energy can block any and all of these Chakras, stuffing them up quite thoroughly. We can make ourself feel closed off from every one and thing around us if we hold on to them too tightly. We can lose our joy in life as well as the connections that we most often use to restore that joy, and even restore our own energies.
Most humans have, out of necessity, found a more or less accidental form of release for these concentrated energies. What might that be? You've guessed it, ejaculation.
Men typically release the energies in this way more fluidly than women. Why is that? Well, let's look at the typical societal engraining. The man typically provides. The woman typically takes these provisions and turns them into something useful. It is a symbiotic relationship between male and female that society has perpetuated. Thusly, men generally 'give' and women generally 'receive', even in the act of love making.
I say generally though, because it is proven that women do in fact give and men do actually receive. Often after orgasm, a woman's body does release more fluids. This occurs more rapidly in some women than in others. Some women have even been known to ejaculate themselves. Truly, these women know how to release.
Alternatively, the male penis can actually take in fluids like a straw. Some ancient techniques even teach how to do this consciously and improve the ability. Truly, a man who can do this well knows how to receive. Even then, many men do it at least to some degree completely subconsciously.
So in this way, the human race has learned how to give and receive these concentrations of energy by controlling, whether consciously or subconsciously, their flow of sexual fluids which we have learned to imbue with this charge of energy so that we may release it or accept it. To not release these fluids at all is a form of self-empowerment that has also been taught in ancient techniques. However, that is not necessarily the best way.
Quan-Yin felt that it was important for me to understand this, and to know that what she considers the best way is simply to learn to abstract the physical from the energy. To do this, first you have to be aware of the difference. You have to understand that you can release and recieve the physical fluids in an act of sex without sending or receiving the energies built up in an orgasm. You also have to understand that the energies of an orgasm can be released seperately and for a different purpose than the physical act, even at the same time. While you do not always have to do so, just knowing is the first step towards doing.
The second step is, of course, doing. Through practice and experience we can learn how to seperate the physical from the energy. When we do so, we learn how to use both acts more effectively, and how to use them to keep ourselves and our partners connected and happy, and the Chakras open.
In this way, we can learn to use these energies for healing, for manifestation, and for all forms of light work. While not everyone will be equally as good at this, it can be a very powerful tool for some. It can also be a very hindering or even dangerous tool while we continue to leave much to our subconscious. Imagine the things we might use these energies to manifest if we remain unaware.
So the next time you're about to orgasm, remember, whether consciously or subconsciously, you are about to engage in energy work. How can that best be used?

Conclusion:

Well, that's all of the messages I have from Quan-Yin. I hope that this is an experience which continues to blossom, and that in future months more messages will be brought to you. Thank you for taking the time to read them.

Hocus Pocus: Magic Does Exist!
By Nisandeh Neta

Lately, our little daughter has been afraid of dragons. Some witches and the neighbor's black dog have also been causing her concern. We taught her the magic spell: 'Jimalaya...Jim!' and since she's been using it, the dragons, witches and even the big black dog, aren't bothering her anymore. How come? It's magic!

When we cannot comprehend how something works or happens - we call it magic. Our lives are full of magic. As kids we live in a constant state of wonder. As 'mature adults' we're constantly seeking explanations or proof, thus killing magic.

In this article I offer you a few magic tricks for grownups. They work! Just lift your magic wand, postpone your judgments and let mystery prevail:

The magic of INTENTION

Intention is a way to focus, and bring your mind energy and power to work for you in the physical universe. Your intention can be, to be joyful, to gain clarity, to solve a problem, to bring a new relationship into your life, to be financially independent, etc... The procedure or "how to" intent is not important. You can go within and think about your intention. You can visualize it or meditate on it. Any method that brings your focus and attention to your intention is sufficient. To reinforce your intention you can create or use a physical representation of that intention (write it on a paper, select a card for it, use a picture, etc.) or you can sing it aloud repeatedly.

The magic of NOURISHING YOURSELF

When you give to yourself, the universe receives the message that you are worthy and as such, begins to treat you in that way, in fact giving you more. The essential ingredient is persistence. Don't give to yourself only once, because it is your birthday. Nourish yourself on a regular basis and the results will be beyond your wildest expectations. Tip: most of us lack physical and emotional nourishment, silence and contact with nature.

The magic of GRATITUDE

The bottle of life is at all times both half full and half empty. We've become accustomed to focusing on the empty half. One of the fundamental universal laws is that you manifest in your life what you're preoccupied with. Thus, the more you concentrate on the empty half, the more of it you create. Let's conduct an experiment, with the aim to create a different experience. For 24 hours choose to be only grateful. Find reasons to appreciate everything, and experience what miracles occur. It's a beautiful day - THANK YOU WEATHER. Dinner wasn't appetizing - HURRAY! - I can maintain my diet. The kkids are healthy - WOW! I'm stuck in traffic - GREAT! - I have time to organize my nouurishment plan.

Two little magic tricks for FINANCIAL ABUNDANCE

We all like to receive money. Most of us don't like to give it away. However, money is simply energy. All that is attached to it is our own interpretations and values. One of the universal laws is that energy needs to flow. Energy circulates, as does money. If you want to have money (as well as anything else in your life) you should invite it in and let it go in the same gracefulness. Here are two small rituals that can help familiarize you with this flow.

When you receive money: Hold the cash, check, or bank slip in both hands, go within and say (in your mind or aloud): "Thank you for this money that came to me. May this money come back to the one who gave it to me a thousands times. May this money, when I spend it, come back to me a thousand times. Thank you." And really allow the meaning of the words to permeate you, filling you with a sense of abundance and worthiness.

When you give money away: Give it with a smile, joyfully, easily (even if it is your phone bill or taxes that you are paying), and say to yourself (with a convincing inner voice): "May this money I spend help with creating good in this world, and may this money come back to me a thousand times to create good in my life. Thank you." Life is a wonder cruise. Don't miss the ride.

Spirit of Autumn
By Vanessa Ebner

Everyone must take time to sit and watch the leaves turn. ~Elizabeth Lawrence

The season's change is upon us. The air grows crisp and the leaves begin to slowly change colors. The animals gather nuts and berries and prepare for the winter ahead of them. It is time they go within, their time to hibernate, rest, and revamp.

As it is with nature so it is with mankind. It is time to gather our harvest and give thanks for all abundance our achievements and opportunities have brought to us. It is time to go within and prepare for the winter of our earth spirit. It is a time for reflection. It is time to slow down. Give thanks for what summer has laid at our doorstep. Autumn.

As the days grow shorter you can actually feel the energy place its veil of calmness over our earth spirit. It beckons us to retreat and reflect upon the lessons learned. Rejoice in each day that follows as your spirit and soul prepare you for what lay ahead. What lies ahead are more scheduled days of sharing and caring. It is a time we begin to prepare for the indoor holidays that are approaching. It is a time to gather all the yummies for the big Thanksgiving Day dinner. It is a time for a gathering of our inner feelings of our days gone by that we lovingly shared. As we again find ourselves sitting around a table filled with signs of our abundance give thanks for the love that continues to be shared freely. The seasonal change is upon us once again, share with all what it means to you.

Even if this time of year finds you busier than you were before it is important to stop and bask in the Autumnal spirit that brings us all indoors. Soak up the aromas of all the baking, the feeling and gifting that brings friends and families together to give thanks once again. The hustle and bustle should be enjoyed and shared, free of stress or it loses the meaning of what it is meant to bring to the heart; a time of giving thanks and sharing the love that this seasonal change brings to each. From my heart to yours I give thanks, love, and appreciation for this season that graces us and brings us all together. God Bless!

I give thanks for my bounty while breathing in the loving energy of seasonal changes!

Waiting Periods
By Wendy Kay

As we walk our life paths, we will come across times where nothing seems to be happening. There is a feeling of stagnation, deadness or stillness to the path. We may think we are not "doing something" that we should be doing. We call these times "waiting periods."

During waiting periods, it feels as if we "should" be doing something to go forward. However, these times are usually times when we don't have to actually do anything. From our perspective, it is a time of stillness, but from the perspective of our Guiding entities, it is a time of much action.

From the Guides' perspective, it is a time of set-up. Experiences are being set up for us. Lessons are being arranged and opportunities are being put into place. The Guides are running around, ensuring all the pieces are ready for us when the time is right for us to once again actively start moving forward. If you meditate to see what is going on, you might see pictures of the Guides running around or pictures of a primary Guide giving instructions to other Guides who disappear from the picture and then return. A checklist of what needs to be in place is being followed until all items on the list are done.

Sometimes, a waiting period involves other people that are learning lessons. Those people are important to your life path, and you must wait until they learn their lessons before you can actively move forward. Again, you may feel like nothing is going on in your life, but the people you are waiting for are going through many, many changes. Once they are ready, you can start to feel the action in your life. Remember, everything happens in sequence, and one event must happen before the next, and your next event might be dependent on someone else.

Waiting periods are difficult to handle for most people. We are used to "doing something." Unless we are absolutely exhausted or ill, we believe that we should be working, cleaning, learning, planning, expanding our awareness, healing, etc. We feel it is alright to rest for a short period of time, but not for several weeks or months, and sometimes waiting periods can take that long. What makes the waiting period even more difficult is that you can feel the new energy starting to come into your life, so you think you should be doing something, but there is nothing to actually do...yet.

How can you handle those time periods? First of all, you have to be able to recognize these times. If you meditate and your Guides tell you that it is a rest period, then that makes things a little easier. Otherwise, you need to trust your intuition, because you WILL feel that there is nothing for you to do. If you can rid yourself of all feelings of fear or pressures from family or society that you "should" be doing something, then the need for rest and relaxation will become apparent to you. Most importantly, having patience and trust will get you through those long days of simply waiting (and those days can feel like they go on forever).

These time periods can actually feel more difficult than going through the actual lesson. Most of us are used to having to do something, but few who are walking this path are used to taking a few months off from our learning. Waiting periods are lessons in themselves, and if you find yourself in the middle of one, try to enjoy it instead of worrying over it. Reconnection Thoughts
By Joanne Simoneit

In time before time we gathered
To make a sacred pact.
We chose to come together
When earth was in her final act.

For change is always constant...
Evolution will not wait.
The third dimensional construct
Cannot deny its fate.

We came to help each other
Remember beyond the veil
Our individualized Oneness
And all that it does entail.

The transition is not easy.
We knew it from the start.
We knew that we must travel Light,
To perceive our lives from the Heart.

So the stories we've created,
The illusions which have held sway,
The burdens that we've carried
Have begun to fade away.

Light and Love must balance out
The Dark side on this earth.
Fear has ruled for way too long
And now it's time for mirth!

Just set aside your judgments;
Decide what you will choose...
In this moment...Joy, Peace and Love...
What have you got to lose?

Jonathon Earl Bowser

Jonathon Earl Bowser, a Canadian artist of English, Scottish, French, and Chippewa Indian ancestry, was born in 1962. He began drawing obsessively at age 8, painting at age 18, and graduated on the President's Honor Roll from the Alberta College of Art in 1984. His limited-edition prints and collector's plates are now represented by many galleries internationally, and his original paintings are in public and private collections across North America, Europe, and Asia - including the government collections of China and Taiwan. The artist's extensive and informative web-site receives over 1,000,000 visitors a year. Jonathon describes his unique figurative-landscape paintings as "Mythic Naturalism" - reverential images of the unseen, Vivifying Spirit of the natural world. Of his work he says:

"However much our ambitious scientific endeavor discovers about the superficial appearance of the world (The Way Things Work), at the fundamental level, of the elementary particles and primary forces of nature, the universe remains as irreducibly inscrutable as it was to stone-age hunters. Nature invites our advances with rewards of Power, but when we try to apprehend the most basic aspects of reality (to see the perfect Beauty behind the veil), She demurs, vanishing into an ethereal chimera of mathematics - whatever that is. The cosmos issued from some nameless, tranquil depth beyond the brutal ephemera of space and time; we are connected still, by an umbilical cord of causality, to that awesome beckoning void of eternal perfection.

"These images are looking for the Mysterious Beauty beyond the superficial appearance of the world, seeking new revelations of a simple truth: the Mystery of Nature and the Cosmos, and the Mystery of the Feminine, are the same..."

Thought For The Moment
Capacity for Forgiveness

It's easy to forgive people who have never done anything to make us angry. People who do make us angry, however, are our most important teachers. They indicate the limits to our capacity for forgiveness . . . The decision to let go our grievances against other people is the decision to see ourselves as we truly are, because any darkness we let blind us to another's perfection also blinds us to our own.

The Tao of Being explores the relationship between the spirit of thinking and doing by way of the Tao. Written in creative response to Lao Tzu's Tao Te Ching, and intentionally replicating its Chinese style and logic, this "think and do" workbook shows how the mind and body are integrated into one undifferentiated whole. The Tao of Being is essential reading for all students of New Age philosophy and the spiritual life.

This book taught me to stop searching for answers and just accept that 'I don't know'. It has initiated a whole new way of thinking for myself and those around me and I take it everywhere I go because I know I will always be at ease with myself having read it.

Monthly Australian Animal Wisdom
Turkey

By Dekora

Turkey reminds us to be thankful for all that we have harvested this year, and to keep good thoughts about what is to come in the following year. He also reminds us to be thankful for those in our lives who have given to us selflessly and generously. Turkey is the ultimate sacrifice, a generous animal who gives of his spirit to nourish the hungry, and he reminds us to give each and every day, to always be generous of heart.

In the wild Turkey lives in the moment, he is a teacher, and shows us how to adapt to our surroundings, and survive in whatever circumstances may come our way. When things seem a little tough and out of control you can call on Turkey wisdom for guidance and grounding - ask him to show you the path most beneficial to you at this moment, and don't be afraid to walk it. Live in the moment and trust your feelings most of all, these are our greatest guides.

At this time of the year it is time to examine what we no longer need in our lives. It is a time of death and rebirth, letting go of things that we don't need, and welcoming new wonderful things into our lives. Turkey is here to remind us to let go, and to give without thought of getting anything in return, give selflessly. Release your attachment to things and give it away if it's something you no longer need or use.

Turkey can be used as a representation of giving with an open heart. He is selfless, giving of his feathers for dusters, body for food and nourishment, and he gives with no thought of getting anything in return. True giving is something that comes from the heart, without expectation. When you can give and not desire any reaction (bad or good) then you are truly giving with an open heart. And this is a beautiful thing.
