How Do You Think The World Will End?
Asked to many different people, and answered many different ways.
Alex Kozak/17:   "In all honesty, I don't think the world will end.  I can see humans becoming extinct, but the world will never end.  It's almost getting to the point where we will never become extinct, either.  Unless it happens in the next few hundred years, we will be off this planet and spreading like a disease to others.  We're going to terraform mars this millenium, and live their if we have too.  The only inherent aim of this species is to survive."

Lisa Koppenhaver/17; "I think that the world will end of course by nuclear war...well not war but the winter that will follow...or the cancer...whatever."

Rachel Miller/17: "I think the world will end when all the glaciers melt and there's a big flood and most everything dies.  A few things will survive and everything starts all over again."

Andy Watanabe/17: "I think the world will almost end when we go into major oil shortages in the next fifty years.  A lot of people will die.  When we make it out, we will plant ivy in abandoned sky scrapers and use renewable energy sources, like ethanol and the sun and wind and water.  The midwest will become a giant solar power plant.  We don't really use solar power enough."

Richard Angulo/18: "The world will only ever end if Madonna and Cher died in the same day."

Andrew Walker/17: "I think the world will end when I die.  This is all a dream.  Damn that's self-centered."

Anonymous: "The world will outlive us.  We will end ourselves in a battle over resources, a la Mad Max + Water World.  Seriously, though, nothing we do (not even nuclear devices) will end the world...maybe life as we know it, but not the entire world."

Jaime Hampton/19: "Nuclear war.  Humanity will die out and the earth will be left to heal itself."

Katherine Goewart: "I think the world will end when the sun expands into a red giant then shrinks.  Or, if you've read Just a Pilgrim, that will never happen."

Micheal Brown/38: "Current stellar science says that in some billion years, the sun will near the end of it's natural life, will expand in size and heat and radicate the earth to unhabitability (unless we figure out how to fix that, of course)."

Anonymous: "We will use all the non-renuable resources up.  And by doing so, not only will we have none left (duh), but we will pollute our world so badly that it will be like a nuclear bomb hit.  People will burn.  People will suffocate."

Anonymous: "Not with a bang, but with a whimper."

Brittney Maksimovic/16: "I think that we are all going to end up killing ourselves."

Anonymous: "George W. Bush somehow stealing the election again this fall."

A.T./24: "Cosmic game of marbles, and our planet will be the marble that gets lost down the back of the couch."

Damien Hernandez/15: "And I seriously think that the world will end with an invasion of aliens.  Coming to kill us off."

Andrea Guerra/18: "I think the world will end in like fifty years give or take.  I believe that is when humans will have used up all of the natural resources needed to live."

Chris Castro/15: "Deadlier bombs will be created and wipe out the earth because of the ruling powers of hate and greed."

Melissa Betshart/18: "I think the world will end in a  heaping pile of shit.  I think everyone will burn and so will I."

Troy Wood/26: "If you subscribe to the Gaia Theory that the earth behaves like a living organism, and we are all merely parasites that have outlived our welcome, then one of the two things are going to happen.
a) we kill the host by endlessly replicating ourselves and using up all available (at which point we die of mass starvation, and in fighting over what few dwindling resources remain.)
b) the host kills us (or at least enough of us to restore a healthy balance), most likely though some sort of horrible infectious disease or genetic damage that renders the entire human race impotent.
Either way, I'm duct taping my windows and putting on my tinfoil hat right now.  Oh, um...and yes, this just applies to us poor sods in the trenches.  The rich and powerful are like cockroaches, and can survive anything."

Jesy/18: "George W. Bush."

John/33: "I think sooner or later humans will sucseed at destroying this world."
