Masque is a sweet race horse. He absolutly loves to run. His talent lies on the turf course. His sire is the great Desert King and his dam was a steeplechaser. Masque sometimes gets impatient when he has to wait in the gate for a long time, but as soon as the gate opens he becomes serious. He shows amazing intelligence on the track, finding openings even before his jockey can see them.
Masque loves oranges and, the grooms swear, can smell someone eating one a mile away. He also likes to strut his stuff in the pasture, looking gorgous when the sun gleams off his beautiful bay coat. When he is turned out with Celt (Celtic Fire), they will sometimes compete with each other (strutting around). It is amazing to see this turf racer do a little dressage trying to out do my Third Level dressage gelding. |
