Chapter 1 By: Michelle Ella closed her eyes as she could feel the pounding in her head increasing. "Ella?" She slowly opened her eyes to reveal the concerned face of the movie director. "I'm fine. Sorry. What were you saying?" The director raised his eyebrows, but didn't press the issue. "Well, I just want you to stare into the camera, like you're staring into your lovers eyes. Make it seem like you're lost…" the voice faded as she drifted off. She was listening, just not as attentively as usual. She was only 22, but felt 42. Deep inside, she knew she was distancing herself from the 'real world.' She felt alone, even though surrounded by tons of people. Fame and money didn't bring her happiness or love and when it did, it was only temporary. "Ready Ella?" She nodded as the director cued the camera's to roll. ------ Benji closed his eyes as he strummed his guitar to Joel's voice. In his mind, he was playing for his perfect girl. The one who made his hear long for. There were thousands of girls out in the crowd, calming their love for him, but he knew it wasn't true love, only infatuation. All wanted to fulfill any wishes he had, but none fulfilled his heart. They were only there for his entertainment. Joel carefully watched his brother, fully knowing the empty feelings that were running through. He felt all the emotions that Benji was going through. Every night, different girls, but same empty heart. Girls were throwing themselves at their feet and Benji decided along the road to take advantage of it. He was creating himself a spider web that he wouldn't be able to get out of easily. Joel sighed and shook his head. After the show, he would have a brotherly talk. ------ Ella sighed as she flopped onto her hotel bed. It was 3am and she would have to be up and ready at 10am to shoot the next scene. She chuckled. What a life to live. All work and very little play. Ella got up from her bed and walked towards the windows, moving the curtains to the side, she could make out the shadows of a couple. She felt like an intrusion to the couples' intimate moment, but couldn't tear her eyes away from the picture. She felt a familiar lonely pang in her heart as the man playfully fell down onto the grass, taking the woman down as well. She hit the man on his arm then pecked his lips and ran off. The man quickly jumped from the ground and chased after his love. I wish I had that. Ella laughed bitterly as she made her way to bed. Love was nonexistent. ------ Joel slowly wiped the sweat off his face with his shirt as the band made their way back to the tour bus. He scanned the area for Benji, but couldn't find him He tapped Billy. "Dude, did you see where Benji went?" Billy shrugged then scoffed. Joel raised his eyebrows in question, as Billy pointed Benji out. Joel watched his brother whisper into a blonde's ear and write something on her palm. The blonde giggled and kissed Benji's cheeks. "He's killing himself." Billy softly said. Joel couldn't help but agree. |
