Washington Sängerbund Fall Concert

The Washington Saengerbund Fall Concert 2004 was held on Friday, November 12, 2004, at the Austrian Embassy, 3524 International Court, NW Washington, DC 20008 (Van Ness Metro).

The concert celebrated the musical traditions of Austria and featured as guest soloist Austrian soprano Magdalena Klamminger performing music of Strauss and Lehar. Piano solos and duets by Jeffrey Ly and Olivia Ly, students of Prof. Dr. Bella Eugenia Oster, Director of the European Academy of Music and Art. The varied choral program by the Washington Saengerbund included compositions by J.A. Peter Schulz, Joseph Anton Steffan, Franz Grothe, Rene Kollo, Johann Strauss (Sohn), and Werner Bochmann. Pin-Huey Wang was the accompanist.

An elegant reception organized by the Washington Saengerbund's own Austrian chef Siegfried allowed guests and singers to enjoy conversation following the concert.
