Washington Sängerbund Fall Concert

The Washington Saengerbund Fall Concert 2004 will be held at 8 pm on Friday, November 12, 2004, at the Austrian Embassy, 3524 International Court, NW Washington, DC 20008 (Van Ness Metro).

The concert celebrates the musical traditions of Austria and features as guest soloist Austrian soprano Magdalena Klamminger performing music of Strauss and Lehar. There will be special piano music as well from the European Academy of Music and Art, courtesy of Prof. Dr. Bella Eugenia Oster, with piano compositions by Liszt and Beethoven. The choral program by the Washington Saengerbund includes compositions by J.A. Peter Schulz, Joseph Anton Steffan, Franz Grothe, Rene Kollo, Johann Strauss (Sohn), and Werner Bochmann.

An elegant reception organized by the Washington Saengerbund's own Austrian chef Siegfried will allow guests and singers to enjoy conversation following the concert.
