Saffy Says ....

This is my website. If I wanted to be really cutting edge I'd call this part a "Blog", however it is more or less the jumbled contents of my mind, set down in a somewhat chronological fashion. Enjoy it, or not, as you wish!

February 2009

21st February 2009
Boy oh boy, since I got into Facebook I have really, really neglected my poor website!

I have been off work all of this past week following a "procedure" in hospital on Monday. I feel like cr*p even now, five days on, but I am hoping that the op will have put an end to my problems and that I can have my active life back.

Alwyn and I took the dogs out for what turned out to be a very short walk this morning. I now feel exhausted, which is really annoying because it is a beautiful spring day that would be perfect for walking in the mountains with the dogs. Hey ho.

Another beautiful day! Unfortunately, I'm still not feeling up to much and it's getting frustrating now. I scanned some old photographs yesterday and put them onto Facebook. The photos were from the 80s and 90s - a real blast from the past. I have also been looking through old slides that my Dad took during the 60s and 70s. I have to admit that, unfortunately, he was a pretty poor photographer! There are quite a number of pictures where peoples' heads have been cut off and others where there are large areas of nothingness and then a crowd of people crammed into a corner or down one side of the snap! Despite this, however, there are some nice shots of us as children and some of other members of the family, so it has been a trip down memory lane.

I have been signed off work for a second week. It is a relief because I am still feeling pants, but I'm also wanting to get back into the swing of things.

Alwyn and I saw two robins in the garden this morning. They were inspecting the ivy hedge, so we are hopeful that they will nest in the garden this year. I will have to order up some mealworms for them!
